We had a lake view room, and really enjoyed the full view of the lake. Not like some other hotels who advertise 'Lake view' and then you can actually only see a glimpse of it. The building is a bit old, and the toilet didn't flush well. We also went to the bar for a cocktail during cocktail hour and couldn't get served as there was no one manning the bar. However we still enjoyed our stay. Great having free parking. Front desk staff friendly, and on to it with the paperwork with the covid-19 virus.

I booked your hotel for my parents. Under the circumstance of the Coronavirus, your team did their best to make sure they had the best possible experience which was amazing. As a frequent user of Accor I am used to the high level of service. But fo my parents who seldom travel, it has given them some terrific memories regarding how welcome they were made to feel. I also had to deal with your staff via telephone in making some special requests and changes. In particular, I thank Benny Madden whose service and conduct at all times was absolutely impeccable. He went above and beyond wherever possible, followed through, and even called me to advise of what he had organised. He is an absolute asset to your organisation and should be acknowledged for the terrific work he does. I am a Platinum ALL and Accor Plus member. Therefore I am loyal to Accor. Although we only stayed one night, the experience was very enjoyable. Our hotel room was spacious, well appointed and scrupulously clean. The buffet breakfast offered a good choice of items and the dining area had an enviable view of the gorgeous Wakatipu Lake. Since the hotel is located on a hill, the view was unrestricted and extensive. The staff were helpful and pleasant, which made our short stay very enjoyable. I would stay here again.

Booked for our complimentary night Accor plus.. on arrival upgraded to king room lake view .. just fantastic. Straight to the restaurant for complimentary drinks and a delectable meal 10/10 for meal, drinks and service. Up to our room and wow what a beautiful view. Breakfast in the morning was great and off to the airport for trip home. Thank you Mercure and staff for a wonderful stay.

The front desk was friendly and attentive to our need. The room was simple with a spectacular view and it over looked the mountain. We arrived in our room and there was a kettle with sugar, coffee, tea however it would of been nice if there was water in the fridge for the kettle instead of going up and down the lift to the lobby to get water, there was no sink to wash the dirty dishes and no microwave to heat up food, I know they all about making money and getting profit but come on common sense. We also ran out of toilet papers in the middle of the night so we had to go down to the lobby to get toilet papers so they should think about stocking 2-3 toilet papers in the bathroom for future use. I loved the pool area however the water was freezing cold and they should make 2 different pool for adults and children because it sucked when your trying to have quality sisters time and you have children disrupting you in the pool and the spa pools. You should also consider the time the pool closes to 12am because when we get back to the hotel at night the pool is already closed or atleast open the sauna till late for adults

shocking house keeping

I have asked to do my room in my absence but they didn't vaccume the room and just change the bed sheet. It was a messy carpet and rubbish was lying on floor. When I complaint to reception when I was checking out then the customer service team said that I was expecting too much and in future I need to keep in mind that if I am staying any other hotel don't expect house keeping team to vaccume the room while they clean the room

We really enjoyed our stay at Mercure Queenstown. The view from our lakeside room room was distractingly beautiful. The restaurant, bar and breakfast area well were set up and the hospitality staff fabulous. For those who needed a laundry or ski storage area, these were also available.
