Good experience. It was unfortunate the scaffolding was up in the main restaurant. The Level 4 bedroom view from our room wasn't as good as I'd hoped, but was OK. Sadly other guests were loud in hallways and rooms late into the night for most of our 5 day stay. The housekeeping was frustrating -didn't come at all one day, we were asked to leave our room at 5.40pm the next day for housekeeping to come through (and we were recently returned from a busy day, and they came through very late the next day and appeared to do very little. Two days we had to ask for replacement toilet paper rolls as no top ups were left.

We decided to stay here for the views and wow the views were great and the bed was awesome Day 1 the Friday The reception told me I didn't have a booking and I was like "WHAT" and I had to look up on my phone the confirmation email and tell him my booking code Day 2 was fine Day 3 Thought we would get breakfast so waited to be served , nope didnt get served , I went over to reception to ask them to get a hold of the people to check us in for breakfast the lady rang the phone "no answer" , so the reception lady came over to find them. She went into a kitchen with loud music and then out popped the Male to serve us So we charged it to my room and he said have you ever been to this buffet we said no so he showed us and wow he did this so quick and fast that to this day i still dont know what he said While having breakfast there was nice music on but also you could hear indian music coming from the kitchen and it was very annoying

My curtain and carpet had a rip with was around 15-20cm long, I had to call the maintenance man to fix the light in the bathroom and the flushing knob on top of the toilet fell out . There were no extra blankets and the only thing I could use was a throw at the end of the bed that only covered half the bed. Im from NZ but I will not stay at the Mercure again and it's a shame that this is the standard we set for overseas travellers. The Resort needs some much needed love. The staff were lovely however.

Another good stay in quiet location with great views to the lake (depending on your room choice). Dinner steak and fries were lovely though chimchurri sauce was quite oily and steamed veges were dry. Friendly staff, despite current renovations disruption and I enjoyed the welcome/upgrade. Must try the swimming pool next time! Thank you.

Went there with my family we re expecting the way other members are welcomed assisting with luggage and early check in but it didnt havent. We need to go around the town first and wait till the room gets vacant in the afternoon. During our first night stay there was incident with fire alarm and fire truck came. we didnt heard anything from the management that there was something going on till my wife notice the alarming sound and had to ring the lobby. We then notice that there was not much people booked in the same floor where we staying. We re the last one to get out the hotel when the incident happend. We requested for our room to be serviced but it wasnt cleaned well. rubbish bins wasnt completely emptied and the blanket where not folded properly. I dont know maybe the staff are really busy. The staff are very hospitable especially the guys in the dining area. We enjoyed the breakfast especially the view from the dining its magnificent. The hotel main dining area is under renovation but it would be much better if it was done. We love the location and the view.

Firstly thank you team for our room upgrade, I brought my family down to Queenstown for the first time and they were so impressed with the service from the time we arrived at the front desk, the restraurant and bar staff, breakfast staff in the morning from greeting us until we finished, it was above and beyond our expectation. THANK YOU everyone, especially Sumi for being the first smiley face we met and replying to my crazy emails, the manager on site, Fay and Alina not sure if her name is correct for helping my niece when she passed out after swimming, Fay you're life saver ❤. Great location away from the busy city, beautiful view and the hotel is in excellent condition, looking forward to come back next time and the buffet restaurant will hopefully be open then.

Staff and service were excellent but the facility is in dire need of some love. Rooms seem like they haven't been refitted since the 90s, carpets were stained and dirty. Other guests were noisy and rude, soundproofing would go a long way.

Staff were friendly and helpful. One even offered a crutch for my sick/elderly mother who wasn't able to walk long periods. The room was great with a stunning view. I wasn't able to enjoy all the facilities because it was a short stay but I felt warm and welcomed.

The limited amount of staff working made us feel very welcome. There was a shortage of staff which meant our room was unserviced for one day but we received free drink vouchers for the bar which more than made up for it. The opening and closing time of the bar and breakfast area needs to be updated as this closed earlier than advertised. There were many choices for the Breakfast buffett which was fresh and yum. Other hotel amenities were excellent.

While we understand, the place was experiencing staff shortages due to Covid, I feel sorry for the housekeeping staff. It might be better offering a discount and ask customers to forgo having their room serviced each day.

Always enjoy returning to this property. Great views from lakeview rooms. Clean and comfortable rooms , .Close but not to close to town so very quiet. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. Good free parking.

Very average. Big doubt about a car park room service supplies tea coffee milk was minimal..actually had ask for coffee… no enough milk.. for the whole 5 days stay there one cupboard left un cleaned.. Not really big enough for 4people

As usual the Mercure exceeded in every way. Everywhere was so clean, and the staff always obliging and friendly.. The food was excellent, I didn’t even know they made Cinnamon Ice Cream - delicious with apple pie. The Mercure is like our second home in the South Island.
