Waited for almost an hour and half for our food and drinks, especially the drinks. The draft beer wasn’t served even after 2 reminders). Tables that arrived after us were being served with their drinks already while we are still waiting for ours. However the lady in charge of the restaurant was good and courteous.

Overall great experience staying at resort. Friendly staff, tidy room. Plenty of breakfast options Wasn’t impressed with pan fried fish as it was dry for me without any sauce.. would like to come back

Hi I had great time with hotel , location , receptionist was very sweet also big thanks to people served us dinner and chef did very well with preparing meals . Only upsetting was morning break that when I asked for omelette I was told I will be charged $10 extra as I paid my buffet breakfast than what’s this new thing came to pay $10.00

The staff were very pleasant, the room was all we needed for our short stay with a nice view. The location is fine, a nice walk into town, a little steep on the return. The only downside I would say we had is that the walls/doors to the hallway must be very thin as we could everybody who walked downtown there, at all times.

Honestly, the hotel needs some work. Carpets are stained. Paint chipped. Gardens overgrown and unkempt. Staff were nice, food at breakfast and dinner was ok, but the building - needs some tender loving care

Our room was large and clean with a nice view of the lake. The restaurant staff were very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The duty manager was also very helpful in giving us tips on how to get around Queenstown. We used the pool and spa pool which was a nice way to unwind after a long day of travel.

Room service requests were met with alacrity. In room breakfast menu was superb. When we had dinner in house I felt the restaurant could have had more staff. My meal, when it arrived, could have been a lot warmer. The room was spacious and it was lovely to have armchairs to sit in while admiring the view. Possibly could have a larger coffee table to eat off when ordering from room service.

This hotel has been over showing on internet and the real experience is very poor as the hotel is quite old and doesn’t have a pleasant experience. Staffs are friendly and attentive but the stay with the hotel is not upto a satisfactory level. Also the food at the breakfast buffet is not upto a standard and couldn’t enjoy. It’s a great location and the hotel needs a renovation soon. The Managment should look after the ammenities. I would not return unless the place is renovated. I was expecting to stay 4 nights but I left the hotel in 2 days.

We had a good weekend break in queenstown. Paid extra to get superior lake views, were dissappointed in the first room they gave us, bad view but after talking to reception they changed our room to higher level and views were perfect.

Dinner was the only let down

Love this hotel. We are always well looked after by the staff and always look forward to returning. Our only HUGE disappointment (because it was a very special occasion for us) was our birthday dinner for our son. From what we observed there was only one staff member (Bessie) on service and we assume perhaps one chef as the meals were coming out sooo slow after 2 hours some of us were still waiting on our mains. To top it off "earth hour" hit where we were almost in the dark, so all 9 of us aborted our table and headed to our room to at least see what we were eating. We weren't the only ones in the restaurant upset. We had a few diners coming up to us several times, complaining themselves. I commend Bessie for trying her utmost to accommodate everyone, she worked HARD, but there is only so much one person can do. On the flip side, I had pre arranged with the restaurant to make a cake for my sons Birthday. It was AMAZING, Huge thanks to the Chef, just a shame we had to head upstairs with it. Definitely a disappointment for us but I am sure this is just a one off? I'm only sorry our experience on dinner really let us down.
