« Good stay »

I am only inclined to write this review to thank Yohann who checked us in. After 36 hours on a flight from the UK with a 1 year old, carrying a LOT of luggage, Yohann couldnt have been more helpful, he helped with our luggage and when our travel cot hadnt been set up he personally went to get it and put it up for us. Mercure are very lucky to have him working for them

Very enjoyable stay. Staff very helpful, both with local knowledge and tours. Evening meal was really worth it both for the view and the food. Bedroom a little dated but clean and had all required for a comfortable stay.

The one thing that strikes us when we think of this hotel is the remarkable views from our room and the restaurant. I think all rooms may have some view of the lake and the mountains. The staff were friendly and service was quick. Bessie from the restaurant during dinner was exceptional with her personality and helpful hints about what to do when in Queenstown. We strongly recommend this hotel. A bit of a walk to the main town but this could be a good thing after a huge meal.

This was the second time we have stayed at Mecure Queenstown and although a little out of town the Hotel is an excellent place to stay. The staff are friendly and professional and are only to pleased to attend to your needs.

room service was absolutely terrible soggy wet salad with dried halloumi didn't ring to complain because I felt bad for how busy they were, the waitress turned up to my door sweating from racing around. I felt bad for her. Ice cream was melted by the time it got to my room. The only reason I got room service was because the restaurant was fully booked and I didn't have a car to go elsewhere. very disappointed in this part of my stay, but I did love the whittakers haha

« Nice quiet location with spectacular views »

Quiet location with spectacular views just outside the busy town area. Bathroom door was inadequate, didn’t close properly and had a hole as a handle. Also door to corridor had too big a gap underneath and let noise through. Staff were very good.

The service I received on the phone when booking this accommodation was excellent. The gentleman on the phone was very helpful & great to deal with. Told him we were travelling up for the night as we were getting married the night prior and wanting a bit of time. I specifically asked for a room with a view of the lake. We were also told we could have early check in. When we arrived at 1:50 the room was not ready. So we had to leave and come back. When I said I wanted a room with a view I was not expecting to be on the very bottom floor looking at over grown grass & trees!!! This was really disappointing considering the price we paid for the room!!! Who pays just under $300 to look at long grass??? When the gentlemen who booked us in, really sold it to me when he said we’d be treated like VIP given the circumstances as we were having a wee mini honeymoon!!! The room was nice. But the view was crap! If I had of known all I had to look at was long grass and overgrown trees I honestly would of saved my money and stayed elsewhere! Also for future people staying perhaps give them the heads up about the wifi. Paying $298 for the room I expected there would automatically be wifi & wouldn’t have to wait till 10 at night to be able for use it. If I had of known I needed to be Accor member I would have signed up prior. Perhaps inform future guests of this.
