We have visited this hotel a number of times now I thought there would be no surprises left. I guess the first surprise was the price about $100 less than 2 years ago, arriving in the car park with a welcome reserved car space (we are now ALL platinum). Allocated room was big with a great view, breakfast was huge, staff friendly. At its price point it’s difficult to think of a hotel that offers better value or a better view from the room.

Heat pump didn't work properly and had flat batteries. Had to have it on 30 to get heat out of it and tried all the correct settings. Tv was trash and had poor reception, didn't appear to be LED. I was fixing the aerial and noticed months of dust behind the tv table on the power socket. The bathroom was very dated compared to the photo advertising the room and the shower has two decent leaks in the hose. The staff were great, all were very friendly but the basic maintenance being missed and things like the heat pump are not good. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and it's the first time the heat pump hasn't been put on for us before we get there, the dead battery issue would have been spotted at that point. Much better value for money elsewhere.

Very quiet room, lovely view and nice clean very spacious room. No towels in our room and 2x requests for some were ignored. Room service breakfast cold.

I felt privileged to been able a short break away amidst lockdown conditions in a major centre and storms, all disrupting travel plans. Mercure had been very accommodating by letting me change dates, free of charge. During my stay, I enjoyed service of the friendly and attentive staff. Unfortunately food selection was limited and that on offer was very basic.

Almost everything was up and running on 2nd day of level 2. Very happy with staff. Elite parking was a very nice and much appreciated touch. The room upgrade again appreciated and lovely. Cocktails, spa and gym all great. Only thing was no extra blankets in room because of level 2 but staff extremely helpful and quickly remedied. Would definitely stay again. Very happy.

We found Mecure well located, comfortable, warm and everything we needed. We used a Flybuys voucher to pay for the booking and it was good to take this opportunity to experience the stay in a hotel we had always said we would stay in but never had.

The resort is located only 10-15 min walk town with the most magnificent view. Room are clean and our king size bed was comfortable, covered with crispy white linen. Bathroom and shower was very clean and well working. We had coffee and tea at hand as well as little fridge for extra food. We had a room with garden view and also they maintain the garden well some color would bring the beauty out.

Service is really good starting from the receptionist to in room service, helping with everything that we needed. But breakfast was not that great which was prior to the lockdown, breakfast provided during lockdown was good based on the restrictions they had. In room service menu they did not have many options for dinner. The rooms were not great at all, I expected a bit more modern considering that it is 4-star accommodation. The views were great from the room though.

We received a very nice greeting by the receptionist and a very comprehensive introduction. She advised that we had been appointed a show room and that you would like our feedback. It turns out that we are hospitality people ourselves and we have also some travel experience. There was so much feedback that the next morning we decided to approach one of your reception staff again and take him to the room to show him all the points we thought needed improvement from a practical, maintenance, cleaning and comfort point of view. We hope this will help you when making decisions on how to refurbish the other rooms. Please talk to your staff who wrote down our feedback.

As usual the Mercure exceeded in every way. Everywhere was so clean, and the staff always obliging and friendly.. The food was excellent, I didn’t even know they made Cinnamon Ice Cream - delicious with apple pie. The Mercure is like our second home in the South Island.

Great stay, good value, great views, very good staff. Everyone very friendly. Family friendly, Food was great. Plenty of parking if you are driving. Great value for money at the restaurant for those with kids from kids menu. Would certainly return.

We would like to thank Prasheel and whole team for their hospitality. Me and my friends had an unforgettable time in Queenstown and at the Mercure resort.
