« Great room, great room service meal, overpriced and underwhelming brunch. »

We loved the room with its fluffy bed and Hermès amenities. The room service meal was fantastic and the pool/spa facilities were very good, if a bit small. We felt very protected from the storm and excited to watch it. A very good point in a beachfront hotel. We were however quite disappointed by the brunch. We found it over-priced and my entrée (duck) was tough and flavorless. Our expectations were quite high at that price.. Not even a glass of wine nor a cup of coffee was included, and we had to pay (a lot) extra for a bottle of water.

« Excellent Sofitel Service but hotel need improvements »

It was a nice relaxing family stay for eight nights. The staff was friendly and helpful. However compared to the standards set by other Sofitel hotels this facility needs renovation. In addition, we were given room where there was no lift access so we have to lift baby pram every time.

« Beautiful hotel in a great location »

We enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel. The location is perfect. The staff was helpful. The room had a beautiful view! Just what we were looking for. We did have to sleep with the balcony door open as the room was a little stuffy though.

« Air Conditioning needs modernization »

Fine but not exceptional at all. Americans would balk at paying $378 per night for a room with barely any Air Conditioning facing the hot sunset. Prices in the mini bar are quadruple what a normal 5 star hotel would charge. Completely ridiculous. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Front Desk screwed up payment and understanding a hotels.com booking that was not pre-paid.

Hotel was nice, showing its age a little. I did find silverfish in the bathroom which needs to be investigated. No upgrade given despite what appeared to be low occupancy and no drink vouchers or discounts to spa ect.

« Brief yet very enjoyable and comfortable stay »

We had only one night, but had a great room with VERY comfortable bed and gorgeous view and lovely service from everyone. Alas, the rains came in so we did not profit from the outdoor facilities. We will certainly try to stay longer on our next visit

« Excellent hotel overlooking the sea. »

My wife and I stayed in the hotel for 4 days. It was an exceptional experience. The facilities are excellent, and the service was warm, friendly and helpful. In particular, I liked the well-equipped gym and the outdoor swimming pool. The outdoor pool is not decorative but is rectangular so that it is excellent for exercise as well as for casual swimming. The breakfasts each morning were delightful, with a very enticing selection on the buffet; the cooked food was first class too.

« We enjoyed four days in this beautiful hotel especially its views of the ocean and its courteous staff. »

This was our favorite hotel in our tour of the Basque Country. We stayed twice: 3 days and 1 day. We very much appreciated the quiet and refined atmosphere there. Our rooms had beautiful views and the staff was very helpful and courteous. In particular, Christine in the breakfast assisted me when I was not feeling well. She brought me foods that were good for my upset stomach. We will definitely return to your hotel in the future.

« It's a great facility, although it started to look tired even compared to last year »

We try to stay at Sofitel Biarritz Le Miramar Thalassa every year and always greatly enjoy it. This year was no exception although I would remove the word greatly. The property looks somewhat tired: worn out carpets, old paint, rusty metal parts. Even breakfast is somewhat less sumptuous than usual: We never had fresh berries. Additionally, we suggest that thalassa stuff with cold should wear masks during treatments: I had a nice facial at the beauty salon but my therapist had a cold and was breathing into my face the whole 80 mins. As a result, I got a cold from her too.
