The caring doormen (Tai, Phuc) warmly welcome and assisted our group to the most in the rainy days. FO staff members are just legendary. Eban, Ngoc, Kim Anh, Son, Tam, Nguyen, H.Can tackled our demands like Quicksilvers- we were so impressed and thankful. Mezz resumed its famous buffet breakfast additionally seasoned with the sinful Affogato by the lovely ladies (Trang, Quyen, My). Our most favorite restaurant in Vietnam is Le 17 Bistro where we robbed half of restaurant seats for cheap yummy Business lunch. The Le 17 Bistro simply delivered the most fantastic club lounge experience under Covid-19 and none of our gangs wants to return to the Pre-Covid canape lounge. The skillful 17 team (only Huynh, Tan, Nhi, Q., Thao) managed to take great care of our dining n booze even in their fully booked days. Rooms are clean thru AM and PM thanks for the silent hardworking team (Huong, Ngan, Hung, Man, Vien). We are ready for next parties here.

Great central location, but hotel quite dated, in need of decoration and upskilling of staff. Poor English and poor customer service, but this may be due to covid lockdown and the need to hire a new workforce. The breakfast buffet was good and the lovely French patisserie and selection of wines were well received.

Overall a pleasant stay for us. I was traveling for work but my sister also joined me. As a Gold status member, check-in was seamless (both online and in person) and we were accommodated into our room as early as 9am (I had advised this early arrival the day before). I realized however that I may not have been given the automatic room upgrade. Maybe this happens when you pre-check in online or otherwise, I understand when sometimes the next room is not available but should have at least been advised of such at check-in. Either way I hope all status benefits would be consistent (and acknowledged, whether available or not) given that this was Sofitel. All staff were otherwise very friendly and accommodating. Other minor details would be that there was only instant coffee and chamomile tea in the room (no caffeinated teas -- and I actually preferred tea over coffee for my caffeine fix). Breakfast buffet choices was also almost exactly the same everyday though this is not too much of a complaint as the spread was largely enjoyable.
