I usually stay at Merignac when driving to/from my home country during the summer. Having already tried several hotels in the area this time I decided to use ibis styles. Overall positive feedback, price/quality ratio. On negative side I felt the hotel a bit dated/old although clean.

I found the toilet not cleaned; urine stain on the seat, toiletpaper in the water and an empty plastic water bottle on the ground. The remote control was in these COVID times not in a paper bag and with the situation of the toilet it made me doubt if the remote control was clean.

It was ok but I didn't like the open plan bathroom and the furniture and fittings are all the bit worn and tired. The standard of cleaning needs to be improved because there was various pieces of sweets and and rubbish left from the previous guests under the bed.

Clean, well appointed hotel and staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast very good and ample for coeliac. Would highly recommend this hotel. Measures in place due to Covid-19 very reassuring, organised and efficient. Thank you.

Was very convenient to stay at your hotel as i had an early morning flight. I was impressed by your staff - they have provided such a high class service. I would definitely recommend your hotel.

A good room and what looked like a lovely restaurant but we were unable to use it because of the shut down. So pleased that we were able to have breakfast in our room and thank you for organising that as we still had a lot of travelling to do.

We like Ibis Styles as the price includes breakfast, and the interior design gives it a friendly feeling. We felt very welcome and were advised where to eat (a short walk away) as the hotel restaurant wasn’t open. At the moment there are a lot of roadworks around the airport, so the walk to the restaurant was interesting! We had breakfast in the hotel, and in the summer it must be lovely on the patio. Oh and the lift was out of order, which wasn’t a problem for us.

Because of the storm a plane was diverted to Bordeaux for an overnight stay, and 15-20 passengers arrived unexpectedly at the hotel. There was only one member of staff on duty. She had to man the reception desk, serve at the bar and take orders for light snacks. We waited 45mins to be served at the bar. This was not her fault and she did her very best. For the management to have no system for calling in extra staff in this sort of emergency seems to me a dereliction of responsibility to clients.

Close to airport and has shuttle bus

I arrived around 11pm so the shuttle was not running. The receptionist was pleasant and the room clean and warm. The corridors are a little tired. The breakfast is very good.

comfortable hotel in all ambients, the lounge/pub, restaurant and the room really quiet and clean, all people working in this hotel is gentle and professional, ready to help the client. For sure for the next journeys to Bordeaux it will be my first choice

Terrible. We’ve often stayed at other hotels nearby. Zenitude or the Campanile with good satisfaction. We though we’d try ibis styles. How wrong we were. The place has NO style whatsoever and the atrium bar area was as welcoming as a closed Brico Depot. People choose a hotel to sleep (mostly), so why do you put cheap nasty plastic bag type mattress liners under thin cotton sheets? These make you sweat terribly and are so unpleasant that you try to sleep on top of the duvet instead. The heating / AC is as noisy as a steam train, so you turn it off and the sweat freezes! Net result? You don’t sleep and end up with a cold! No way to start the next day. The breakfast was good, but that was the only good thing.
