I appreciate very much this hotel for tis location, just in front of the train station of Charleeoi Sud. Bruno and Iabelle whom I have known for years now always my stay very pleasant with theri Kindness and helpflness.A pleasure to stay with them.

The Rotterdam shower had a non slip floor, the one in Charleroi did not and it felt slippery - did not feel too safe when entering or leaving. Breakfast fine, reception fine but with only one person manning reception and the bar simultaneously it dsid not seem very efficient.

Great Hotel on the River, very close to everything, it looks was exceptionally hot during my stay, 45C+ and the air conditioner in the room was fantastic. Excellent staff, the young lady at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and very friendly.

Location is very good, near the train station but too much noise in the hallway (sound insolation issue). The superior room is simple, nothing special but the quality of the mattress is good. Overall, the price per night (100 €) is too expensive for the quality. At least the breakfast should be included.

What is really good about this hotel, the "taxi shuttle" just for 17 € from Charleroi airport :)The hotel has a very good location, just next to the railway station a and a shopping mall :)Very nice breakfast and female staff is very helpful, can't say that about the male staff, as the hotel bar should be 24 hours but only when there are females at the reception as they also serve the drinks... :-/

Unfortunately the airco was broken. Therefore we had to keep the windows open at night because of the heat which led to a restless night due to the street noise. The staff was very helpful though and breakfast was very good.

The receptionist was very friendly. Fast check in. The staff who takes care of the breakfast were also very friendly. Good breakfast with lot of choice. Fast check out. Good room with enough space. No street noice, so no problem to have a good sleep during the night.

I arrived at the main station and then crossed the road and tramway to my hotel as it was less than 10 minutes walk and you could see the sign when you walked out of the station entrance The breakfast was hot sausages and baked beans and omlette

The hotel is just next to the station, its not too loud, the rooms are not too small and have everything you need. Breakfast is just fine and served very early so you can still grab something to eat before your morning train.

I was taking part in the Worlds 2016 wargame championships that took place in Roux. A number of us decide to stay at the ibis Charleroi Centre Gare as it is opposite the main rail station which has a direct service from Brussels Midi. We had traveled from the UK via Eurostar. The hotel was perfect for our needs. Charleroi is undergoing major rebuilding work behind the hotel. When this is finished it will look very impressive. The rebuilding work did not affect my stay in the hotel and I did not hear anything.

So much construction made it difficult getting in and out of the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was small, as I expected for an older European hotel, clean but a bit worn. The breakfast was very good.

It is fair to say that Charleroi is not going to be to everyone's taste, but for those who do want to explore this fascinating and friendly city, the Ibis, just over the river from the main railway and bus stations, is a perfect location. The lower town, which has most of the better restaurants, is currently largely a building site, the development being scheduled for completion in 2017. The upper town, which has the best bars around the Place du Manège as well as most of the nicer buildings, is a 10-15 minute uphill walk away. The superb photo museum is a 30 minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride from the Ibis.

Good clean hotel for travellers from and to Charleroi Airport. Good location, just opposite to the railway station Charleroi Sud. Good bus (sign A=Aeroport) connection (every half hour on workdays) to and from Charleroi airport (6 EUR, 15 min)

Staff and breakfast good Ibis standard but room average. Handy for station but not in very nice area for going out as lots of new building going on. Got plagued by beggars with dogs. Shame as been here before and was a very nice traditional Belgian town

The hotel is very basic but ok if all you need is sleeping there a few hours before taking a train or a flight from Charleroi. The airport is very well connected thanks to a bus which leaves in front of the station, i.e. less than 100 m from the hotel. The heating was not working properly during my last visit in December 2014 and the staff did not react to fix the problem, although I reported it, but it was still ok to sleep.

Stayed here before and after our recent trip to Lille. As the name implies the hotel is a short walk to the train station. The bus station where you can get a bus to the airport is equally close. The staff were friendly and helpful and trying the local beer is a must. The only thing missing from the trip was an Everton win.

Hotel is near the central station, so the neighborhood looks a bit seedy. Staff is very friendly and the hotel is ok for one night. It seems Namur is better to stay in a leisure trip, but I do not regret have stayed in Charleroi.

We stayed here as my daughter was catching an ealry flght from Charleroi aiport. The directions to the airport are horrendous, be aware. Although not far from the hotel. (Not the hotels fault I must add). The hotel charges 10 Euros for parking, however there is plenty of free parking around the area. It is in desperate need of an upgrade as the rooms are very old looking, they also smell. However the staff are smashing and as we only stayed one night had a lovely time.
