Conveniently located next to the bowling club (great meals)and across the road from take away, bottle shop and supermarket & rose hill racecourse. The hotel and rooms are dated and could do with a freshen up. The 1brm spa room had a dining table & 3 chairs??? For 4 of us that did my head in, but it was a free upgrade and we appreciated the spa!

We were made very welcome and enjoyed our stay.....however the meal ordered via room service was inedible. The vegies were delicious but the meat we couldn't cut, even with a metal knife! I had a pork chop and my husband had a steak sandwich. I met another lady in the lift and she said them same thing re the steak. It would be best if you took this off the menu and only offered something more suitable to room service. Stick to fish or chicken they are safer. The staff couldn't have been more co-operative and removed the charge from my account. Speaking of which I still haven't received a copy of the bill. Great staff, very welcolming, comfy and clean rooms and enjoyed. Just not having food was disappointing especially with Rosehill Races one week and Sydney Royal the next. Was over running across the road for Maccas and when ordered in it was RSL standard of food and restaurant prices, disappointing.

From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed and nothing at all was an issue. My booking hadn't been recorded correctly however the young lady that checked me in was outstanding. Every staff member that I came in contact with were fantastic.

We stayed at the Mercure in Parramatta as it was close to all the sites and places we wanted to go, the accommodation was neat and tidy and bed was comfortable. It was a shame the restaurant was closed because of covid but we went to another close by.

Needs fixing

The room was a little out of shape for what I am used to from Mercure hotels. Firstly there was no bath towels (this was probably due to the broken towel rack), a quick call to reception saw towels brought up, later to realise there was also no bath mat, went to use the second hand towel as a mat but it was mouldy (probably been there a while with the lack of fan/extractor in the bathroom). Took the hand towel down to reception on our way to dinner and they refreshed all the towels while we were out. So all up the service was good, reception helpful and apologetic for the issues, but room obviously needs some fixes to the ventilation in the bathroom and the towel rack replaced and a little more attention to make sure the towels are there and clean. Was unimpressed having to pay $65 on top of using my Accor free night stay for this stay (so like equivalent of $300+).

Arrived at 7:30pm and after waiting for 30 minutes to check in, was given a room that had not been cleaned. Waited another 30 min to be given another room and found 1/2 eaten ice cream in the bar fridge. Tried to call to order food - no answer, so had to walk to mezzanine area to order. The lift had a sign ‘only to people in the lift’ I was in the lift and 2 hotel staff entered the lift with me! Prior to arrival I called the hotel to ask about parking, was placed on hold twice and twice hung up on. Over all a really disappointing stay. COVID rules obviously very lax. I was given an upgrade which is ironic because I had asked for this room when booking and was told it was unavailable.

First of all I had a run in with another motel that did not let me know upon checkin that there was a deposit required. So I called the Mercure because I had very little money because my daughter was going into theatre the next day they were so lovely and said that we could book in etc. So when we got there I actually didn’t grab the ladies name but she was so sweet she was talking to my two year old daughter and she seen I was a bit distressed yet still was very patient and caring with me. My daughter decided to keep looking at the ice creams so the receptionist lady decided to let her have one free of charge. That just made my day, as I had already had a bad day. We got room service and the food was delicious and because I was alone with my daughter they brought it right up to the room for us although with COVID at the moment people would usually go and collect themselves. I felt right at home, safe and very comfortable. I’ll always be back. We have to come back up to Penrith for more doctors for my daughter but I’ll still be staying at the Mercure in parramatta with her. I had the best experience. Thank you!
