Good location, below average room compared to other standard hotels

Good location, staff friendly. Room poor. Only 2 sachets of nescafe (which is rubbish coffee in my opinion) Bath towel very small, rough and worn, had a 3" threadbare circle, one wash away from a hole. No sanitiser in the lift dispenser and the soap made me itch. I am a regular at budget hotels and my experiance at thurrock this time was below other local budget hotels.

Having no choice other than to pick a hotel immediately I picked the Ibis and just arrived. The staff are so helpful and the room much better than many hotels I have stayed in before plus free Wi-Fi. I will definitely pick Ibis again before any other hotel

I had to make an unexpected booking at br aide of the current restrictions was finding it impossible to book a room for the night but ibis helped me and they done everything to help me get a room for the night. Had issues

Had some issues with our toilet being blocked before we arrived. Dispute the staff being nice and trying to sort the propblem with getting maintenance to unblock the toilet. It remained blocked and we were forced to use another toilet in another room. Down the hall. Meaning we had to walk down the corridor in the middle of the night if we needed the toilet. Which was very inconvenient and meant we had to walk out in our Pyjamas. The staff in reception did all they could do but this still doesn’t explain the fact that the toilet was blocked before we arrived and when it was ‘unblocked’ the job obviously wasn’t done properly. We had to stay in a room with a blocked up toilet which can be very unhealthy! I honestly think a refund or some compensation needs to be put into place for the stay I had.
