Good, clean tidy friendly staff, Food was a little disappointing but this can’t be helped due to covid I guess

- Problems whilst checking in, the key cards did not work three times - ended up lugging all my luggage up and down. - Bedside tables were filthy and greasy - I requested to have wipes and can you believe cleaned it myself! - Dust everywhere - headboard above the bed, lampshades. - Carpets are stained and dirty - Bathroom was not cleaned properly, little hairs everything. Was simply vile!

I was sorry to learn that your stay on this occasion fell short of your expectations and I apologise for any discomfort or inconvenience caused. At Ibis, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. I regret that you found the temperature of your room to be very cold and I am very sorry if this prevented you from enjoying a good sleep. Our Ibis hotels have an ‘air cooling’ system in place which does differ from air conditioning and this system is partly dependent on the external temperature. I can only apologise if this was not sufficiently effective on this occasion. For your comfort in the future, please be assured that our reception desk is attended 24 hours a day, so should you need assistance at any time, we will do our best to help. In this instance we could offer you a portable heater for more comfortable stay. Needed a place to stay for a couple of days while our home was being renovated. Did the job. Although when I booked it I was told only I would need to provide ID. So when I arrived to check in my ID wasn’t enough so had to go back home and collect other forms of ID for my young family members. Could’ve saved me the hassle by telling me when I initially booked it.

A great place to stay for a work trip

We spent 4 nights at the hotel and overall were very happy and satisfied with our experience. The room was clean, well equipped, spacious and comfortable enough to stay in. An issue with the shower was immediately resolved. The bed could have been slightly more comfortable and the room a little cooler but those are quibbles. The staff were all very polite and welcoming. Given it's just a short(ish) walk from the city centre the value for money was superb. The Covid arrangements in place were well thought through.

Stayed for 3 nights, room was lovely and warm and above all very quiet. Not much of a view if you're at the rear of the hotel. The staff were very helpful and the online check-in/checkout makes life a lot easier. Breakfast was hot and tasty with a varied selection. Just a slight hitch, first 2 nights electronic room key worked fine but the third day after walking all the way to the room the key didn't work meaning a return trip back to reception to rectify it. Overall a fine hotel.

I've stayed in this hotel a few times and have not been disappointed. It is clean, the stafff are nice and helpful and the location is 5 minutes from my meeting venue. Perfect The brreakast is on an all you can eat buffet basis and is tasty and varied.

The only thing that spoiled my visit here was the heat. The room was really hot when I went in and, despite running the air con, the temperature didn't drop below 25C (according to the air con!) I was so hot, I slept really badly. I considered switching the air con off and opening the window overnight (I had the window open earlier in the evening instead of the air con) but it was too noisy to do that. So I had about four hours intermittent sleep, lying on top of the duvet as it was way too hot to get into bed, and ended up having a shower at around 1 a.m. to try to cool down. I would stay there again because it was convenient for work the next day, the room was otherwise up to the usual Ibis standard (lovely shower, comfy bed etc.) but just hope the weather is cooler.

My husband and I are in England/Midlands to visit family and friends our first stop was Birmingham so I booked with a trusted brand, AccorHotels/Ibis. This particular Ibis was close to the areas that I was visiting. When we arrived, Silvia was extremely helpful and friendly. We were given a room on the first floor at the back of the hotel which gave us a lovely view and a quiet room.

Arrived, staff very helpful. Room allocated did not have aircon working and window would not open, room too warm. Got a new room after that everything went well. Room clean and comfortable. Wifi good.

Stay at hotel most weeks for 2 nights. Staff all very friendly and professional which stems from the management. Rooms fairly good quality. Some occasional hairs in the bathroom on arrival. Never really any issues.
