Positives - 1) Courteous, polite and helpful staff. 2) Spotless room. 3) Comfortable bed and pillows. 4) Free onsite parking. Negatives - 1) Online check in poor. Didn't work 1st time. Had to phone hotel about it. Worked on 2nd attempt. However, rather than just picking up key on arrival had to spend about 10 minutes going through check in again despite having email confirmation of online check in. 2) Made special request for quiet room on high floor. Initially allocated room 314 which would have met request but during payment and checking in again at reception this was for some reason changed to 209 which didn't meet the request. 3) Room far too hot and temperature control system would only produce hot air, despite the the room being far hotter than the 20c that the system was supposed to regulate the temperature too. Consequently it was very difficult to sleep. 3) One of the shower screen doors was broken. 4) One of the soap dispensers was broken.

Your comments relating to both the shower screen and the soap dispenser have been passed onto the Maintenance Engineer of the hotel who has since addressed these concerns. I apologise for any inconvenience or discomfort caused to you by these shortfalls. I would like also to apologise that our air cooling system was not efficient enough on this occasion. Had stopped over following a holiday in Cornwall. To break up the long slow drive home to Yorkshire we decided to have a night out in nearby custard factory and resume the journey next day. Great decision as the hotel was less than a mile away. Staff all very friendly, room clean, bed comfy,lovely breakfast. Only downside was a few noisy guests leaving/arriving in the early hours.

everyone was great to me always smiling. got directions from the front desk for any place I wanted to go. house keeping was out standing and deserve a pat on the back ( they are very hard workers ) I can not give them the credit that they deserve a credit to the company . all the employees prove that they will go out of their way to make our stay the best. because of all your hard and devoted employees ( that are an asset to your company ) would I stay at Ibus again ( help ( sorry I don't swear )) yes oh YES they all won my heart I hope that when I book my next vacation that their is an Ibus near by and that they are a good as ( my friends ) at the Birmingham hotel please let them all know how happy that they made me ( oh ps ) sorry I forgot maintenance for all of the help he assisted me with ( and refused any payment for the help he gave me ) and all of the employees their are the best thank you so much ( I am now looking for my next trip )(any ideas ? ) James ( jim ) M.

Great location, easy to find and the free parking overnight was a bonus. A taxi to the main centre is less than £10. It is within walking distance to The Custard Factory. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. No complaints. Great value!

Single night stay which was ok but lack of attention to detail

We checked in for a short one night stay, the check-in process was fast and efficient. The room was clean and tidy however the soap dispenser on the sink was completely empty as was the hair/body wash in the shower which made it more difficult to keep hands clean in line with government advice throughout our short stay. The temperature of the room was very hot, and the air cooling system in the room did not make the room any cooler, however the room did have an opening window which made this better. We also went down to reception to request extra pillows and were told these would be brought up however they never arrived, so we don’t believe the soap despensers would have been refilled either had we mentioned those. As it was only a one night stay it wasn’t long enough to be too bothered by these small issues. This was our first stay in an Accor Hotel since restrictions were lifted and as a long standing member of the loyalty program, staying in these hotels frequently. Ibis Birmingham Bordesley Circus definitely fell short of the service we normally receive and the stay overall was slightly disappointing.

The hotel was lovely clean and tidy only problem was the room temperature was showing 31 and was like a sauna. We couldn't get the temperature down but the helpful staff found us a fan which helped

Common areas were in need of an upgrade and a good clean. Room was cleaner and fine. Dinner was good, breakfast was disappointing.

I always stay at Ibis as I attend a yearly conference so a good location and the nearest to our event. I had a nice time and the room was clean and comfortable. Just a few things there was no soap shower in the shower. When informed to the cleaner she said it didn't matter and I could use the hair shampoo as soap. Also we were disturbed at 9.30am to clean the room. Also a lady staff had come into our room whilst our stay and apologised and said she did not know we were in the room. This was disappointing. There should also be a phone for emergencies and the carpet could do with a fresh new one. Otherwise I will stay again.

Very handy for football at Birmingham City. As I had occasion to tell the manager at the time, the lady on the reception was excellent. Very helpful, very efficient and handled all our requests very intelligently and with a smile.

I've stayed in this hotel a few times and have not been disappointed. It is clean, the stafff are nice and helpful and the location is 5 minutes from my meeting venue. Perfect The brreakast is on an all you can eat buffet basis and is tasty and varied.

The only thing that spoiled my visit here was the heat. The room was really hot when I went in and, despite running the air con, the temperature didn't drop below 25C (according to the air con!) I was so hot, I slept really badly. I considered switching the air con off and opening the window overnight (I had the window open earlier in the evening instead of the air con) but it was too noisy to do that. So I had about four hours intermittent sleep, lying on top of the duvet as it was way too hot to get into bed, and ended up having a shower at around 1 a.m. to try to cool down. I would stay there again because it was convenient for work the next day, the room was otherwise up to the usual Ibis standard (lovely shower, comfy bed etc.) but just hope the weather is cooler.

Our Ibis hotels have an ‘air cooling’ system in place which does differ from air conditioning. This system is partly dependant on the external temperature. I can only apologise if you found it to be insufficiently effective on this occasion. We do offer portable fans upon request at the reception desk. For your comfort in the future, please be assured that our reception desk is attended 24 hours a day. Should you need assistance at any time, we will do our best to help. My husband and I are in England/Midlands to visit family and friends our first stop was Birmingham so I booked with a trusted brand, AccorHotels/Ibis. This particular Ibis was close to the areas that I was visiting. When we arrived, Silvia was extremely helpful and friendly. We were given a room on the first floor at the back of the hotel which gave us a lovely view and a quiet room.

Arrived, staff very helpful. Room allocated did not have aircon working and window would not open, room too warm. Got a new room after that everything went well. Room clean and comfortable. Wifi good.

Stay at hotel most weeks for 2 nights. Staff all very friendly and professional which stems from the management. Rooms fairly good quality. Some occasional hairs in the bathroom on arrival. Never really any issues.
