On the 11 june I received an e-mail from the hotel saying they would not be open for my visit in July. As my flight had also been cancelled I asked for a refund. Strangely they then asked me for proof of purchase? So I sent my confirmation of payment e-mail. I had no response. So I contacted the main Accor helpdesk who said that the hotel had to sort this out and I could get a voucher via my booking. Reluctantly I went to my booking to get the voucher only to find that the hotel had cancelled my booking so I was unable to request one. Since then I have sent many e-mails to the hotel who have just ignored me.

I used to stay at Hotel F1 all over France many years ago when they first opened. You didn't mind sharing the toilets, showers as the hotel was cheap, usually 20 euros for a room. Stayed here in August and the room cost 55 euros, you now get no towel in the room, you have to hire one for 3 euros a day, the Internet only worked when sat near the router, so not ok in our room. For 55 euros a night it is a disgrace, we stayed at Rennes at Ibis Styles the night after for 61 euros, a3 star hotel which included breakfast for 2 people and paid 61 euros and we had a towel and a bathroom. La Rochelle is not cheap to stay at but for 55 euros a night for a small box room, no private shower or bathroom and not even a cup to have a drink with is a total disgrace. People only stay there because everywhere else in La Rochelle is full. You deserve better.

Would not stay in hotelF1 again!

Easy to find, near to Carrefour and main road. Free parking. Basic hotel. Very thin walls lots of banging inside and out. Some snacks/ drinks available. Booked through booking.com which stated "we speak your language" they don't. Cleaner came in at 8:30am and basically turfed me out. Will not stay in an F1 hotel again. Bad experience all round!

First I could not get my car through the gate of the hotel 11:30 PM with my just made online booking (with the Accor website) No explanation at the gate on how to get in with just a booking reference and no CODE. I was lucky to have another customer put in his code and let me in. Then, the automatic checkin facility was out of order… An attendent came in afetr a few minute and I could get my CODE The room is ok for the price but the bathroom and shower in on the floor and looking again at the property description, this is marked in small letter at the bottom of the description. SNEAKY. Knowing that an IBIS budget is just a little €40 euro, paying 35 for this accommodation is almost too much. I’ll to avoid this pitfall in the future!
