hotelF1 Bayonne (renov.) Hotel

Good place to stay if you just want to sleep and shower! We had a private room with our own bathroom and shower. The room is tiny but we didn't spend time in it except to sleep. The shower pressure was good (although a little tiny, we are both 175 cm and 185 cm). The sink in the bathroom is tiny and you cannot really wash your face in it. The bed was comfortable (for us) and clean. We still had our own sheath to sleep in. We were also able to put one electrique scooter and a bike in the room (which make it even more tiny, but ok since we didn't spend much time in the room). It's a good 30 minutes walk from the city center. It's a les than 5 minutes walk to Intermarché (big grocery shop) and McDonalds.

Under the given circumstances: indicate the hour the room was disinfected, early morning keep the pace up with cleaning of the toilets and showers.

Despite the hotel clearly advertising that it is 100% non-smoking, both our rooms smelled unacceptably strongly of cigarettes, including the mattresses on the beds. 2 of my children are severely asthmatic and we had to leave and check in to another hotel. Could the manager please contact me urgently on my mobile 00… 831 to discus this, or we will be pursuing a refund legally. thanks, Heather

Good Location near autoroute, Quiet location, reasonably priced, friendly staff However, One mattress was soiled, No mattress protectors, beds not made up. Not sure that Post Covid it was clean enough. Do not like the new room format

We wanted a budget stay to break a long drive and this was perfect. Close to the motorway but a pleasant 30 minute walk to stretch our legs along the river to Bayonne itself. We knew before that we needed our own towels so were prepared and despite being near reception on the ground floor we had a quiet night and slept well. The member of staff on duty when we arrived was friendly and helpful. Being able to have our little dog sleep in the room in his crate was also great.

Obviously we knew we were staying in the budget option but we found the room very noisy. Think it's weird you don't have towels in the room. The following night we stayed at Campanile (at same cost) and got towels and a bigger room. One the positive side the manager was really helpful.

Arrived 23.00 hours, room was filthy and smelled of urine, not been touched since last occupant left, and not prepared for our arrival, as we could not stay there, we left immediately and ended up sleeping in the car, customer services have been informed.

The room was small but we only stayed for a night, so that wasn't a big issue. We were 2 and a medium-size dog and we managed. I wasn't expecting to pay more 1.95€ when I went to get the code, it would be nice to have that info somewhere. I did the check-in online and it was never mentioned that I would be charged extra at the door.

A good experience. The rooms was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I think that the breakfast could be improved with a little more variety
