« Not an airport hotel »

OK. You get what you pay for. But the website is misleading in describing this hotel as an airport hotel. It was a 40 Euro taxi ride away from the airport and the city centre. Overall, that added $160 Euro to my 2-night stay, almost doubling the cost. Also it is in the middle of nowhere, literally surrounded by farmland, so either eat before you go there, or take food & water as there is nowhere in the vicinity to get an eveing meal. No easy access to the rail system either. Very remote.

If you arrive before 5 pm you have to check in via a machine. This requires your booking no. and also a credit card with a pin no. I either did not notice this or it wasn't clear in the email when I booked, so I had the cards but not the pin. Luckily my wife knew her pin. You need all this to get your code from the machine to open the door -- which also opens your room once you get inside.

Arrived very late ins evening after reception had closed. Automated check in is very confusing and translation of instructions into English is poor, if you follow the instructions precisely you don’t get in Took 20 minutes to check in with no support available. Breakfast room was so small and busy I didn’t get any breakfast

The manager in charge has been most friendly & helpful to a 1st time foreign room guest like me ! I have booked the room via internet & have no idea where about is the location; it was the manager on duty who had help me by advising me how to go about & even where to get my dinner everyday for 5 days !!! Many thanks to him except I have forgotten to ask his name ?

« Nice and clean for the price, just beware of online booking »

The place is nice and clean, the staff is helpful. Hard to find better for the price. The only recurring problem with ibis Budget hotels is the booking system. Once again, while booking with the AccorHotels website, my booking had not be transmitted to the hotel -- in clear words, the hotel didn't have any booking in my name. I was lucky as the hotel manager was very competent and helpful, and that there was a room available for me (sometimes there isn't any, so you are left in the street). Again, this is not a problem from Ibis Budget Düsseldorf Airport, this is a problem from Accor booking system, and this kind of stuff happens frequently. Please Accor people, do something about it.

« Basic accomodation so okay for one night »

Points of concern: 1 - When arriving after a long ride, I was requested at the reception to fill out papers manually, with the same details I already did online 2 - There was no curtain in the room online a slider which caused me to wake up early at sunrise since it did not close completely.

I was very disappointed with the fact the shuttle service had a cost that far surpassed that of my room 30 + 30 round trip It is not very clear that such a charge was going to happen

« Never ever again, NEVER! »

I could have slept in the car, would have been the same...it was storm outside and the noise came in the room through the vents...I couldn’t sleep almost at all. I sleep since 10 years 4 days a week in hotels + vacations, but never happened me something like this. The mgmt staff said that’s not their problem, they can’t do anything. With the reservation, another advanture...they were desperate to take the money from the CC, like in those cheap motels you can see in the movies :)))
