My husband and I work and travel together quite frequently. When possible, we like to choose unique hotels to enhance our experience in any given city. Choosing this hotel was based on the fact that it is centrally located in the heart of Amsterdam - so walking distance from nice restaurants, etc. - and historically, was formally the city hall for 180 years. We were lucky enough to stay in the official "marriage room," which was quite romantic. Everything from the quality of the mattress to the level of care by the staff were 5 stars.

I had a great stay at the Sofitel Grand Amsterdam. From check in until check out the staff were great , the room comfy, the sauna and pool calming, the food delicious and the overall ambience sublime. I'd love to come back again sometime.

We where at the grand just before covid19 and now this time just after. Was nice to see that eavything almost the same. We really enjoyed it. The spa was maby the best experience. Like day and night from last time we where there.

From the time I first called , to checking in - and although we had several issues with the room , the staff worked to resolve quickly. I have to honestly say I have never felt more special and important at any hotel. The service in the bar and restaurant was beyond great. The front desk and concierge was perfect in every way. And the bell and Valet as well was wonderful. Even the house keeping staff were wonderful. Oh and last but not least, the spa made a massage happen for me at a moment’s notice. Unbelievable! Couldn’t be better. I’ll be back.

Fantastic stay in this property with excellent services. The Food and Beverage facilities are amazing and the fine dining restaurant is outstanding. The staff in the restaurant is well knowledgeable and their recommendations were great. The transportation service with Ramon is outstanding. He made my short stay memorable from the pick up from the airport and the drop off. I will definitely return.
