Had a great 3 days at Chamonix a good resort for skiers and partying and sight seeing, the hotel was in a fantastic location walking distance to everything. Room with balcony and hotel breakfast was lovely the breakfast was exceptional

« Nice hotel, the breakfast is a highlight »

Rooms are cosy for 4 member families. Breakfast is a very wide choice continental buffet with almost everything you can imagine. Reception staff are pretty clueless. They charged me for a ski pass card which is free in all ski shops in Chamonix. The view from my room balcony was on top of the entrance roof. The roof was littered with wood planks, ladders and tools thrown about. It was an eyesore that workers left there hoping the snow would cover them! Where is the manager of this hotel? what does he do?

Moreover, the 3€ ski pass card is only included in a 2-days package and which allows you to recharge your passes whenever you want. And it also saves you endless queues at the ski lifts to buy a ski pass. However, we are very happy that you highlighted the large buffet for the breakfast that we proposed to you ! The manager was very rude and unfriendly.,even the receptionist who checked us in. They said they don't care about the status of their Loyal Customer.,which is our worst experience with Accor.

« Great location but rooms a bit smaller than on the web site picture »

Hotel is in a good location with a 5 minute walk to ski bus stop. Good breakfast choice uncomfortable bed. The room was much smaller than advertised on the web site which was a bit disappointing. One area of concern was the room key sopped working a couple of times and reception did not ask for your name or ID when getting a new key so literally anyone could get in. i saw this happen to other people too so not just me.

No ski lockers available on day of arrival so had to lug 3 sets of skis/boots up to the room, not ideal. Bear in mind we booked months ago. Poor choice of TV channels for UK English speaking clients. Had to change in the Bagagerie on last day, not great.

« Well located, good rooms and fantastic breakfast choice »

The hotel was lovely, large comfortable room and very good service. I just have two negatives. The room was exceptionally hot, even after turning the radiators off. We had to sleep with a window open (in February) and were still hot. This meant we didn’t sleep as well as we would have liked after a long days skiing. Secondly having paid 45 euros extra for a late check out, somehow this was missed by the hotel reception. So we had the cleaners knocking to clean the room and looking very perturbed when they saw we were still there. Then reception came up and knocked and asked us to vacate the room. I had to show them my online booking confirmation. After this I felt we should rush to leave the room even though we’d paid to stay longer. It definitely marred a good stay.

« Well located and nice athmosphere, a few points to improve »

Good, except the food smell (cheese) from the restaurant in the hotel and the corridors. I would prefer that the restaurant has a closed door for example. A centralized Air exchange system could improve the Air quality in the rooms during Night (CO2 Level extremely high>2500ppm with 2 people in the room), to lower the level you have to open the windows, which again is cooling down the rooms extremely. (Winter) andthe noise level on the streets.

The hotel is in a great location, near the city center. My French is not that good, so I confess I was relying on the staff to help us with different items. The did an adequate job in communicating with us and helping were we needed help. The breakfast buffet is exceptional, with a variety of food choices and great presentation.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. My partner and I were in 1 room and my sister and her kids in the other. The rooms were modern and clean, though could do with some maintenance e.g. some power points not working and bedside furniture falling apart, remove the old safe when the new one was installed etc. The rooms are spacious and have a balcony with a great view. The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast has a huge selection and a egg/crepe chef which was great. The hotel is located right next to the train station and main streets of the town which is great for restaurants and bars. You can also hire ski equipment at the hotel which was really convenient. Overall it was a great stay and I would stay here again. Thank you Mercure Chamonix team.

We have had to cancel our stay due to me breaking my ankle and being unable to fly. We wanted to change the date of our stay to January 2021 but you claim there is no availability. You should be able to offer an alternate week so that we do have the opportunity to stay with you at a future date when I have recovered from my accident. You have refused to offer any alternative or any refund so we are therefore losing £1150. When we return to Chamonix we will be highly unlikely to select Mercure due to this low level of customer service. Yes, we accepted the terms and conditions and are aware of non-cancellation policy but we wanted to change dates, however this has been declined and no refund offered.

Love our stay enjoyed our room one negative not enough cupboard space for cloths. Close to town but a very good work to the slopes which if you extremely fit would be fine but if not get the bus to the lift. Great for the train station.

The hotel location is excellent, the room is cozy too . The breakfast was a bit chaotic though. I’d like to lodge a compliment to Marie and her team when I forgot to pack my passport when I checked out . She and her staff offered prompt assistance to look for my passport twice when we called them , and they managed to mail the passport to my coming hotel . Marie also followed up when we left France . I feel very grateful for her help .

Breakfast was very nice, room was clean and spacious however the bathroom was old and dirty it needs remodelling. 5pm time time wish there was more treat. The lack of shuttle service to bus station or ski station was a big minus.

Hotel was fine, clean and confortable. ANYWAY, when arrived our room was downgraded (because of some technical porblems) from a superior (prepaid) room to a stadard room. The guy at the check-in counter informed us CLEARLY that at the check-out we were going to be refunded of euros 60 for each night spent at the hotel, so in total 120 eruos. Despite this at the chek out just 60 Euros was refounded (instead of 120). This was was certainly very disappointing...

« Enjoyable but a few issues, one very serious »

Enjoyable stay, good breakfast. A few minor issues - only two towels, four guests. No hair dryer. Two tea bags and not replenished when used. Etc The serious issue was an electrical socket hanging off the wall with the wires exposed at the back. I hadn't realised until my 4 year old son was holding it asking ‘dad, what’s this?’ This could have ended very badly, thank fully not.
