Hotel great, staff lovely but let down by nasty sharp camp bed as 3rd bed in a room. Nasty sharp and painfully uncomfortable to sleep on, very thin Sofa bed option in room but not used as not made up. Awful night on this bed, avoid this option. Extremely disappointed

We found the hotel warm, welcoming and clean. Very little outside noise in our room which was pleasant if a little spartan compared to other Mercures in which we have stayed but put this down to a need to be frugal in a time of fewer guests. The staff were all friendly and gave the impression of being a happy crew. Breakfast was good, a wide variety of choices and the staff were particular about table hygiene. The only minus point was the very bland menu on offer from Marcos. It would have been helpful to have seen a sample menu before signing up for the meal offer. A bit lowering for a celebration meal but the wait staff were stars. The rich offering of the surrounding area and ease of access are a plus point.

Great Location for Tate, The Globe and Borough

Three nights in October and very convenient for the above. If you are able to it is a 30/40 minute walk into the West End which we did several times and a 10 minute wander to Southwark station. Got upgraded due to Accor status but into the wrong room type so had to change rooms to an none upgraded room which took 45 minutes. Very groovy bar and well maintained beer taps.

Stayed for a couple of night at this hotel whilst on a short break in the the capital. Have stayed here previously and all was fine again. Easy to check in and out. Room was a good size, clean and well equipped. Busy trip so not much time spent in the hotel and on this occasion didn't use the F&B offerings, but location key to visit and a overall nice place to stay when visiting central London.

We had a great stay at Mercure London Bridge, the hotel was well located and the rooms were clean. Quiet surroundings as well for the weekend which made for a good night sleep!

Family trip to London to see a show and sightseeing, good hotel in a central location. Stayed for 2 night, room was ok but a little cramped for a family of 4.

Great location in easy walking distance to South Bank, St Paul’s & London Bridge. Clean, comfortable room and lovely spacious bathroom - would prefer glasses & cups in room rather than paper cups, but appreciate that may be due to covid measures.

Had a problem with my bill with the points not being deducted when I paid and also on the first was told we had only paid for breakfast in one room which wasn’t the case. All sorted in the end. Only other point is that the time it took to be served at the bar.

The stay was perfectly in line with my expectation of a mercure. My only two criticisms would be: 1. I sent a message ahead of time (and tried calling eith no success) to ask that the room payment and guarantee be taken from my card and not my wife’s. I received no reply and couldn’t get through on the phone 2. The room was booked for 2 yet only had amenities for 1

Left disappointed and let down this time

Having previously stayed in the Mercure London Bridge we decided to rebook for a re-arranged birthday celebration weekend. After our experience this time, we will not be re-booking at this hotel. The room was sub-standard with stains on cushions and throws. There was a serious lack of toiletries and other complementaries you would expect to see in a four star hotel with one small tube of shower gel and one small tube of shampoo between two people. There was no bottled water available in the room. Breakfast was a shambles with many breakfast items missing. No fresh fruit and granola for breakfast, just children's boxed cereals available. Definitely felt like the Accor group have started to make cut backs in the wrong areas as this will only lead to dis satisfied customers.

Good - but no parking (despite being told there was)

Overall the hotel was very good and in a good location right on the Jubilee line, the rooms were fairly spacious, breakfast was good and the staff were attentive. My only negative really is that I rang a few weeks before checking in to confirm the booking and what the bed situation was as I’d traveled to London with my children, when I called I asked about parking and was told that there were 6 spaces at the rear of the hotel which were allocated on a first come first served basis, if they were full their sister hotel down the road had parking. All fine. When I arrived at the hotel I was told that there was no longer parking there and hadn’t been from several months, despite been told a few weeks previously that there was. I asked about alternative parking and was sent to the Novotel down the road. I rang the Novotel when I got there to ask where the car park entrance was as it wasn’t obvious, one of the hotel staff came out to direct me. I then drove to the car park to find it was full, I rang the Novotel again to ask about parking and was told that it was full unless I’d booked a reserved space. Not helpful at all. I then had to spend the next hour driving around London trying to find a space nearby. This is the only negative I have about the hotel and suggest it’s something that guests are advised of when booking/checking in.

Loved staying here and this is the second time we have, due to the manager Joe who is amazing! Cannot do enough for you and makes you feel so welcome. All the staff are courteous and so helpful. We stay all over the country but we love this place. Cannot fault it from the ambience, the food, the cost or the comfy room !
