Warm friendly welcome in a warm and friendly hotel. Could not fault any of the staff, especially in these difficult times it can be to easy to forget how hard it is for people to have to continue with their day jobs, so a big thanks to all staff for doing a great job. Very clean throughout the hotel with high standards of hygiene maintained. Very good breakfast with plenty of choices. Thanks to all.

Staff were excellent and looked after us throughout our time here. Facilities were nice and breakfast bar / restaurant was comfortable. Only point to note was the room was too hot. However, the staff gave us the option to move to one of three other rooms, which we did but the room got too hot again. The fact the staff were so quick and helpful, meant we continued to smile.

Dreadful. Room was so hot and so was my friends' room. None of us managed to sleep.

We were not aware of the noisy building work that is happening next door. There was a continuous humming noise all night followed by loud banging on Saturday morning from about 8am

My husband and I returned to the Mercure London Bridge as a complimentary stay after being disappointed during the summer. From our arrival to departure we were were made to feel very welcome. Our room was excellent and breakfast was high quality with lots of choice. Thank you for allowing the chance to return and experience a very different Mercure London Bridge. We will definitely be returning!

The location was great, the breakfast lovely. Unfortunately we didn’t sleep a wink the first night because our thermostat was broken and ran at 30degrees all night. We didn’t notice until too late as it was cold outside and initially nice to come In to a warm space. The bathroom was also dirty, the windows were filthy and the shower had limited flow because it looked like the head had never been descaled - something I think you need to do even more with monsoon Heads in a hard water area. Every member of staff had a name tag saying trainee too which felt weird and made us feel like there was no one with authority we could ask about the problems. When we did get help, the maintenance chap helped arrange another (cooler) room. But we had to push him for this. His initial response was that we would need to wait for the thermostat company to come out and that it would take three days (from the second night of our two night stay). We pushed and did get a much better, cooler and cleaner room. Although window still filthy. Overall I was really surprised by how poor the experience was for a Mercure - whom I have always highly regarded until now. Shame.

Pre requested requirements for disabled guests were not provided. Requested lower floor due to children with learning disabilities and risk taking impulsive behaviour. Also wheelchair user not allocated accessible room. Had requested rooms close by due to personal care needs but not granted. Hotel staff found accessible room but other room moved from 7th floor to 4th.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff looked after me incredibly well. The room was on the roadside and quiet being on the seventh floor. I am so grateful to the staff to enable me to be on that side of the building with all the building work going on to the rear of the hotel!!! Mine Was a long stay and that mattered.

Room too hot AGAIN

I can only give 5/10 as yet again, sleep quality was ruined by heating/ air con which failed to reduce the room temperature below 22 centigrade. Some relief by opening the window but then road noise keep us awake anyway. This was our second stay, the last being in summer 2019 and the heat then was intolerable. For this reason alone we will not be back.

There's no such thing as a cheap hotel in central London (unless you really don't mind slumming it) but this was below average in price, relative to comfort, facilities, atmosphere and - in particular - location. The Tate Modern is literally five minutes walk away, with Borough Market just a tiny bit further. The South Bank is "right there", then it's over the river, turn left for the City, right for the West End or straight ahead for Camden. The rich but lesser known history of South London i alls around and well worth exploring; with a maze of backstreets and alleys you could get happily lost and then miraculously find yourself turning a corner to discover that you're back on Southwark Street. So what I'm really saying is this is an excellent base for a London adventure; just stuff yourself silly on the generous buffet breakfast (the works) and off you go for hours of ever-changing exploration.

Really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for access to the South Bank and central London. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Comfy beds and nice bathroom.

Friendly , welcoming reception and check in with helpful staff. Spacious and clean room with all the facilities needed for an overnight business trip . Great breakfast selection. Location is good and easy to find
