« Nice stay, but need to address the communication »

Convenient location and nice facilities. However communication needs work. I booked a shuttle via email, and apparently the shuttle company was not told, until I landed in Johannesburg and called the hotel letting them know I was there. Then the day of check out, I called the front desk to change my check out time and to ask them to tell the shuttle company. It seems whoever I spoke to on the phone told neither the receptionist nor the shuttle service and both told me I was late when I returned to the hotel.

The property is clean and quiet, near East Gate mall where you can buy almost everything for your comfort. The rooms are spacious and very ambient. I loved the cab guys who operate from the hotel as they made me feel safe to venture into the city with them. I would definitely stay here again.

I was not given the room I had requested and promised when I made my reservation. The accommodation has become very shabby, the toilet cistern leaked and although the room looked clean, because it was shabby it left me feeling dirty. Unless the hotel is modernised I will not return.

It is not the first time that i stay in this hotel , just unfortunate that this time there was an issue everyday either with toiletries , towels or cleaning . It was a bit annoying have to call everyday the reception to get what was missing or request to clean the room when i was back in the hotel at 4p.m and still find it dirty.

The location of the hotel is convenient as it is next to a shopping mall. The hotel rooms require deep cleaning & fumigation, while the carpets need replacing as they have a serious stench. The dining experience is limited but the is a food court which offers great variety at the shopping mall. I would not recommend the hotel rooms in their current state.

I didnt get value for the money i paid. It was not a pleasant experience at all. From bad wifi service (only good at areas around the reception), poor room service delivery, limited menu etc. Only good thing is it has a spacious neat room.
