« Mixed feelings. »

On individual level some of the employees I can only have positive remarks, but certainly not all. Restaurant, bar, and reception. Arrival was OK, but no explanation about hotel, like were elevators are, wifi access, when breakfast starts, the restaurant is closed for the evening... to name some. Despite the hotel was close to empty I did not receive a room upgrade. I did receive a personalized message from the General Manager in the room. The room was very cold. The air condition wasn't active (assumed seasonal reasons) the central heating was put only on 2 (it was 0 degrees outside). The next day I asked for extra heater in bathroom (available at request according hotel information) at the reception. Never delivered. Meanwhile the central heating, I putted on Max, was just about good not required to sit in bed under the blanked. At night I experienced the restaurant was closed...no reason given. Only a very small menu available. Because I'm on a medical diet I asked for changes which the bartender did his best to understand and brief to the kitchen (I have the impression he had to prepare the dishes himself...) almost good. The portions were very small, so I needed to order twice to equal a normal diner. Asking for extra salad with extra charge wasn't possible. Again, the bartender did his best. The second night the restaurant was open. Again, explained I'm on diet. This was a totally different experience and wasn't satisfied despite I believe not asking the impossible. Ordered a Caesar Salad I asked some of the ingredients can be left out and have the dressing separate (this was OK for first night), now I only didn't receive the chicken because this is an extra toping you can choose from on the menu.

Just look at the entrance of your hotel, the outside walls are dark and need to be repainted. The elevators are from the last century and very tiny. The ceiling height is lower than normal (I am 2.05 meters). Near the reception is a hole in the wall. It is in my eyes simply not a 4 star hotel. Just having the necessary equipment and service is not enough. Also the shape of the hotel and its equipment should be considered. Your hotel was renovated with the goal to get with the lowest money to the 4 stars. Another point: The parking fee.

« A clean and prepared room »

The room although small was clean and quiet. The check in process was very slow. There was just one person in front of me but I still needed to wait about 15 minutes. The woman at the reception did not acknowledge my presence or say that it would be a few minutes. It is very important to recognize a guest that is checking in and to give eye contact.

Breakfast was very overpriced. My room did not have a coffee maker. My shower did not have a curtain, so half of it was open. I wont tell people not to stay there, but I wouldnt have my business send me there again.

« Very poor ventilation »

The HVAC did not work in my room. I told this to the front desk and they didnt seem very bothered by it. I thought maybe it was just me, and it was just for one night. I was up all night in a hot room and it was very uncomfortable.

The hotel lacks a lot of amenities one would expect in their room these days. In room coffee was sparse meaning a guest can only have the amount of coffee the hotel decides they may have. Could of used a refrigerator in the room. TV channels were only geared toward Europeans that appears if you come from somewhere else, you should not really be in that hotel. Outsiders are looked upon as not wanted at that hotel. I was comfortable though the shower lacked pressure. Restaurant food was okay, you can do better by going out and finding a restaurant in the town. The hotel should only be three star. They must remove that extra star they display outside, seriously no way over three stars.
