« Adequate place to sleep but not Luxury Spa Hotel quality. »

First night a holiday, restaurant was closed. Was not notified of this and would think for a holiday and travelers the hotel restaurant at least be open to serve food. Front desk mediocre, gave the wrong room number when checking in and room smelled like cigarettes and urine from the stains in the toilet. Mentioned this to front desk, no offer for another room. Told my coworkers next day what I thought of the hotel. Second day restaurant open, but did not want to serve us, said it was too busy and less than 25% of the tables were occupied. Finally got to eat dinner, that was very good. The Spa was unkempt and disarray from the holiday, went in alone with no service and no one in sight. Accidentally left my glasses at 10PM when I left, was the only person there. Next morning went back 7AM and no glasses. Finally after getting very upset Front Desk presented my glasses, but the night desk failed to inform Staff where they were. No Hotel safe, No notes from the night before, No indication a missing pair of glasses were found, which caused issues. It is a tired, worn hotel. Overall was disappointed. Best part of the hotel was the food and location. Thank you

It was rainy and unpleasant weather. But the welcome was nice, our pillow, coffee and toothpaste wishes were instantly fulfilled. All good and very good value for money with a good front office and restaurant team. Thank you

« Very comfortable hotel in beautiful surroundings »

We enjoyed the location and overall comfort. We were disappointed that cups and glasses were not provided in our room. Paper cups and plastic glasses are not consistent with what I expect to be provided in a 4 star hotel. The Minibar fridge had no contents and was almost useless in cooling drinks. The terrace was dirty - not swept and had bird droppings that had been there for a long time. The carpet in the bedroom was badly stained.

« Disappointing approach to the hotel. It looked extremely shabby from the outside, but inside it was OK. »

Staff at reception were very good indeed. The room was large; as was the bed, which was very comfortable. The bathroom and toilet need knocking together to create more space, and also need updating. The bedroom was well equipped, including a small fridge which was very useful. We didn't use the public areas so can't comment. Free car parking was important to us. An acceptable walk into town and the lake front. We had a rear room, so it was very quiet. We used the balcony a lot, even though we were east facing and didn't have the evening sun.

« Desperately needs an update »

We've stayed in many Mercure hotels across Europe and generally appreciate the consistency of experience. However, this hotel is by far the most tired and dated property we have stayed in. Everything feels very old and worn out; it desperately needs an update. That being said, the hotel was clean, the staff polite, and the breakfast was up to the usual good Mercure standard. The room was large, and the location was good, but I'm just not sure that we'd choose this particular hotel again.

« Disappointing »

No food available out of lunch and dinner time except one chicken snack. No welcome box (fruits, etc...) as mentionned on internet. Spa is small and crowded. The walls, carpets, lifts are not nice looking, and deteriorated.

The welcome was not at all friendly, the bed was very uncomfortable, the bathroom was arranged very awkwardly. I told the staff that the bed was broken and very uncomfortable and they just shrugged - there was no offer of anything to compensate this.

The hotel is not in a convenient location. It is very dated, walls, beds, elevator, restaurant. Not sure how areas are granted but this surely does not feel like a 4 star hotel.
