Great personnel but the room specifically the washroom was not to clean

Floor was a bit sticky, rom table clearly cleaned in a rush so still dirty, hairs in the bathroom. Luckily bathroom was ok and bedsheets were nice and clean. We got bitten by insects over the night, not sure what kind but we both got bitten in the neck and in the morning was swollen. I understand it is a budget hotel and it is corona times so we didn't complaint as it was a single night stop.

Dissapointed it needs a refurbishment. The lift was very old as is the hotel. The toilet seat was not screwed down properly and the shower plug was gurgling all night. Found the shower very slippy. We know with the covid it was difficult to cater but the bag was very dissapointing and not worth the money we would not have ordered it had we known. The gentleman in reception was very helpful. Bed was very hard the bedding excellent clean. We have used your hotels many times and always been satisfied.

located just off the Bordeaux ring road in the Northern side.Ideal for the journey ahead for Rouen.Apart from there being no soap gel in the shower,two pieces of soap were provided,and two plastic glasses things were as normal.

Absolutely brilliant staff, couldn't do enough for you

Welcomed by a helpful manager, but the room is outdated, and facilities poor. The bathroom was extremely cramped, the shower curtain smelt badly and the tap leaked significantly such that the floor became swamped. (149) We had booked a double bed room for 2 to avoid constantly banging our heads on the overhead bunk of the 3 bed rooms, but were given a bunk bed room anyway.

What I liked most was the location: not so far from the center, but far enough away to be a quiet place; At the same time, it has excellent public transport options, as well as a huge variety of nearby restaurants. To go to the supermarket you need to take a tram, but it's just a stop and you're already in a supermarket where you can really find everything. The room always stank of sewage, the air conditioning didn't work; so the room was always hot. My luck was that we were in winter and I opened the window (no noise outside) to get in a little of the cold. Staff speak little or no English which is conventionally a universal language for communication.

I chose the hotel for the closeness to the tram stop - around 250 m - that was great! But this is a budget hotel, though it has many plus points..

For a Low budget Hotel the ibis budget Bordeaux Le Lac is really nice. Common area to spend time together with family or friends, even enjoying your own drinks and food, all very clean, very nice and kind staff. Breakfast was also pretty good, with fresh croissant, cakes, yogurt, bread and jams, juices, etc...

We have ordered 15 room/nights incl. breakfast (5 rooms for 3 nights 25-28 NOV) and were forced to pay them 17 days in advance. More than 72 hours in advance (on Nov 22) we had to cancel 3 rooms for night 25-26 NOV. We were answered next day (in French) that it is too late and no refund will be provided. It is absolutely unprofessional to charge us for rooms (and breakfasts!) canceled 3 days in advance. And - by the way - we were told by the hotel staff on Nov. 25 that hotel does not have any room available and all are sold out. We are professional event agency, very frequent client in Accor hotels (either directly or via our business tour supplier American Express) and this I will remember for a long time. We visit this budget hotel several times as a temporary stop from the Netherlands to our vacation adres in Spain. Always satisfied, a good hotel and not to expensive... but the last 2 times we noticed that this hotel getting worse. The rooms we had defect airco's full with dust and the bad smell from the drains in the bathroom was terrible. Also molt in the bathroom. On our trip to Spain we complained and the hotel decided to give us a new room that was okay. Our trip back home the room had a nice temperature. It was late and we took a shower, the drain was almost clogged. Later that night the airco stopped also, we woke up and it was to hot to get to sleep again so we left at 4 am. We have visit a lot of hotels and this hotel has been neglected. We think that the management must do more at this points: (1) A clean working airco, (2) removing the mold in the bathrooms ,(3) the bathroom drains smells a lot.

Positives: good price, comfortable, pleasant staff, ease of access, secure parking. Would use again but: negatives: aircon too noisy even on low setting to be left on overnight also the intake air filter was blocked with thick dust so the unit was not very efficient. Also, only 2 thin pillows for 2 adults! This is a step too far towards the "budget" brand and risks compromising a good night's sleep as it did with us.

See the title and the 4 stars I have given it. I have stayed here many times now and recommend it. It's very close to a tram station so very convenient for getting into the centre of Bordeaux for sightseeing.
