Disappointing experience

Quite disappointed with the service. - I had checked in online to make sure things go faster at reception upon my arrival. I was however asked to redo the whole process manually upon my arrival as though my online check in was not taken into account. The receptionist finally found my online check in information at the last phase of the process which was regarding payment method. This made me waste time twice, once doing the online process and once upon arrival as the online check in turned out to be useless. - I had requested a quiet room and was woken up at 7am by construction works and drilling. I complained later in the day at reception and learnt that the hotel knew about these works when I checked in. I expressed my disappointment saying that they could at least have warned me so I could put in my ear plugs for the night as I have sleeping difficulties. The receptionist apologized and said she will inquire as to why the colleague who checked me in did not take this into consideration, but I never heard back and no commercial gesture was proposed. - the room was clean and ready when I checked in but on day 2, the cleaning was not thorough and toilet products (cosmetics) were not replaced. This was my first stay at Novotel Geneva and I was happy to pay for this stay expecting comfort and high quality service. Turned out to be rather disappointing. I will be back in Geneva in February and will look for another hotel.

The room is huge with the executive rooms

The room is super big as i booked the executive rooms. however the toilet is too big and the warmer is not working. The front desk staff is nice but there isnt any help to carry the luggage up to the room.

All in all this hotel is one of the good hotels around i Geneva, Stay and care if staff, One or 2 point, I wished location is better, Also the internet needs to be looked at, meaning everyday you need to sign in again, that is annoying, Otherwise, it is good hotel

Hotel staff don't know EU COVID rules

The Hotel is ok, room was clean and quite. Location is pretty good but the staff and service are as bad as they gets. Room service knocked at the door at 5-35 PM asking weather we need room make-up? Sure we were needed it while we were out of the room enjoying the city all day long but definitely not around 6 PM when we would like to have a rest. The next surprise I got in the morning coming to breakfast. The hotel manager refused to recognize my CDC vaccine card saying that only EU QR codes are accepted. I tried to remind him the EU official position stated on an official website of the European Union. That when it comes to proving vaccination status for those traveling from outside the EU, EU Member States should accept vaccination certificates from non-EU countries containing the necessary data identification of the person, type of vaccine and date of vaccination. But he couldn't hear and read anything from his attitude. As a result he didn't let me get the breakfast. To be honest I wouldn't recommend this hotel and won't come there again.

Our clients coming from another country has to convert prior to arrival their Covid certificate to the Swiss or European certificate. We do apologize for the inconvenience but all our staff members are respecting the Federal law in place in Switzerland. Pleasant stay in at superior suite, close to the main station, competent and friendly staff

Our well-maintained superior suite with 2 rooms were very spacious. Each room had a separate bathroom and toilets. Minibar, coffee (Nescafe) and tea (plus tea maker) were included. Ots a pity that spa was kind of out of order (we are not sure, there is also a steam bath/hamam which we were aiming to) so we were not able to try it out.

Kind Staff, Lack of air circulation

Staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel is central and our room was clean. The only concern we had was the lack of air circulation in the rooms, it was warm and stuffy as the windows did not open which made it difficult to sleep (we also left with a dry cough). Would not recommend the hotel based on that alone.

From October to the end of April we stop the air condition system and start the heating season, so, there is no cool air that comes into the rooms during this period. As during some weeks the nights are cold and the days are warm, it’s always difficult to keep temperature balance during this period. So, please, accept my apologizes for the inconvenience. Next time do not hesitate to book one of our Executive rooms with a terrace - like this you will have a possibility to open a balcony to get some cold air from outside. It was ok, not too much not too bad. Parking is too small and then cannot park at this place. There is another parking not far, and which is 3x less expensive comparing to yours.

Last week I wrote an email to the hotel asking to send a receipt for my stay, which I did not receive when I checked out and which I need for the accounting purposes. So far, I did not receive any response. I'm deeply disappointed.

Liked the location and the ease to get around the city for afterwork dinner or drink. The only thing I didn't like how they are managing the gym!!! Need daily check and card activation and what's worse was that it gets really full of people sometimes although its recommended for a max of two people. Needs new arrangement like have a time list where guests could sign for 45 minutes slots and then the gym will be reserved for one guest at one time.

I had a superior room for 3 nights and absolutely loved it! The room was very nice and quiet which is what I requested. The spa was great too. Everyone at the front desk was helpful and professional especially Luba. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Geneva.

Good hotel at very central location, nice rooms and good breakfast. Only issue with shower, where apparently one set up is no water, despite turning the tab! But at least we could bathe in the bathtub.

I can say the five days stay in this hotel with my family remains a memorable experience that will never go away quickly. The staffs were wonderful and so was the food, the double family rooms we stayed and the neatness of the hotel. The only concern I have not just for Accor Hotels only but for other hotels, is to create single rooms for a family of five, vis, father, mother and their three kids at anytime. Otherwise, our experience was wonderful.
