As a silver member of the Accor group I was not very happy with my stay this time at the hotel, due to the national lockdown rules being implemented by this branch. 1. The Indian guy who said he was the manager on shift was very rude to me while I was asking him to clarify the visitor rules. 2. I booked the room for 2 adult as I always do and he was doubting me saying his system is showing him I only booked for one, I eventually showed him my booking confirmation after which he doubled back, and saying that he had to see proof of the other person address which has to be similar to mine. 3. I was allowed to book for 2 adults during the booking your website never said that the person had to be from the same address or traveling with you. 4. I believe as a hotel business while observing the lockdown rules commonsense should prevail because at the end of the day customers satisfaction matters. 5. I asked for someone to visit me for an hour to look at my computer and I was told no even tho I booked my room and paid for 2 adult persons. 6. I was never asked by reception for proof of id to verify my key worker status I was only giving a form to fill out I believe every one who is permitted to stay should prove who they say they are, and the rules implemented fairly and equally. 7.On Thursday when I was going out I was two males guests walking into the hotel,no mass, one with a beer bottle in his hand and they both went into the lift together even though your rules say only one person in the lift at a time. 7.During this stressful time you should use common sense when implementing the lockdown rules,I believe once you booked your room for 2 one person should be allowed to visit you for a short period of time once the person remains in your room. 8.You should explain all the rules on your website even if it changes every day. 9. They were smelly rubbish left outside room doors and outside the lift by guest which I brought to the attention of the staff, there should be extra bin bags left in rooms and cleaners should be there to clean the communal areas every day,I only saw the cleaners focusing on the ground floor communal areas . 10. I think I should receive a part refund since I paid for 2 adults and I was not allowed to have a second person in my room.

Poor reception experience

I booked for a business trip. The person on the reception had a trainee badge. He greeted me like I had entered a supermarket at a really busy time. He rushed me to give answers, and looked at my suspiciously. Kept saying 'sir' at every sentence. He asked me to give him my work badge and use my work email to say why I'm staying. He treated me like I was not welcome. This back and forth went on for about 5 minutes. I asked him why the website did not mention anything about giving a reason for business. He lept forward and showed me an email sent in the morning. I said that's not what I was asking. Overall he lowered my sense of satisfaction and almost like I didn't belong there. I had to travel home and to bring my work badge, which was an inconvenience. He kept pressuring me and using lots of 'sir' words. He even said 'no guests ok'. This after giving my reason for the business trip. Overall punitively spoken to. Never had this experience at Premier Inn.
