Room very comfortable overall although air-conditioning not working well, room was hot. Menu in bar was very limited compared to previous stays, which was a little disappointing.

Good hotel to visit Leuven

Hotel located 10 min walk from trainstation. Next to brewery Stella Artois. In the morning it can be noissy comming from the plant (load and unload traffic.) Some parts of the room painted in brown which make te room darker. In a few years renovation will be necessary (repaint). Good breakfast. Reception good but a little more friendlyness should be appriciated. We found not the extra expectations you should have from a four star hotel.

Well located (walking distance from station); very helpful and friendly staff; easy access; quiet environment; no noise in the hotel, corridors or connecting rooms. Only downside was finding out how to turn off the many lights in the room without having to turn off every light.

Dusty, Dirty, and rude front desk

In my honest opinion, Novotel Leuven is no way near four stars. Maybe a few years ago. I have stayed three nights (Total paid: 390 euro) for a family visit. Even though we paid for Early Check-In (35 euro), we were told the room was not ready, and the staff from the reception was unfriendly. Overall the service both from the reception and the bar staff was very poorly performed and you, as a customer, had to wonder if the hotel you are staying in were four stars from the results of how poor the guests are being welcomed. Therefore, I firmly believe they lack courtesy and hospitality and have really bad energy and was appalled at the way they treated guests upon check-in and in the bar. In addition, the room (224) we stayed in was so dusty, dingy and dirty; many objects were covered in dust, and the pillows the phone was greasy, stained curtains and walls, a thin sheet with no mattress pad, etc. I can list them all, but the pictures are worth a thousand words, so check my photos to understand better how dirty and dusty the room was. The hotel needs work. I would not stay here again if they gave me a free night. My expectations from all of the four starts hotels are about luxury bedding, clean rooms (hygiene), and good energy from staff, and this hotel isn't that.
