The hotel provides a very good service to people of different fields and backgrounds. The Friendly staff are a credit to the hotel. If you require anything they will act swiftly and whole heartedly. Thanks to the managers because you cannot have cheerful staff if you are not trying your best. They are always cheerful and ready to act. This time was fine. I am mightoly perturbed, however by your price hike. I was coming to stay in February, but as the prices seem to have risen by up to £100 per night, I will not be staying.

I booked a day stay reservation on 22nd January (Sunday) and receive my confirmation. On the website, I was asked to choose arrival time so I chose 9am. Prior to this, I did not see the earliest arrival time for "Day Use" and had tried contacting the hotel directly before booking twice but no one answered. I proceeded to book and on arrival at the hotel was told Day Use starts from 10am and I have to be charged £10 for early check-in. I informed the lady at the desk that it was not made clear on the website and I had been given the option of coming at 9am. I was then told by another lady who was standing on the side that I should have called with a look of disdain. I explained that I tried to and no one picked up. I showed the call log to the lady at the reception as I felt I had to prove the attempt to contact them and rather than acknowledge the failure to answer the call at the time, the lady on the side kept telling me that I should have called. Bearing mind, I had booked the room in the early hours of that day while I was working a night shift so this was a last minute booking. Furthermore, they had failed to answer the call twice and within a 10-15 minute interval. I received no apology but rather very rude behaviour from the member of staff. On top of that, I was charged an extra £10 for early check-in even though my confirmation said 9am and I had no information on the check-in time and possible extra cost I felt disappointed and cheated. After a 13 hour shift and due to return the same day, the last thing I wanted was to be having a back and forth with staff just to rest. It was my first time staying at this location and only needed this as I was stranded. I was treated rudely (not by the lady who checked me in) by member of staff and charged an extra £10 for something which I had no prior knowledge of. On top of that, the room was freezing, took ages to warm up and was noisy. I don't think I will be staying at this location ever again. I read reviews before booking. What an opposite experience it was compared to the reviews. Highly disappointed.

As already mentioned on the review you already left on our website, information are clear in the T&Cs of the booking at check-in for day-use bookings is from 10 a.m. The rate for day-use is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. If the rooms is needed from 8 a.m. extra fees apply. This is a policy which is valid in all hotels, and not just in our. All the other matters have already been privately addressed. I would also like to mention that as stated in the T&Cs of the booking "Check in Policy: Guaranteed rate for arrival at 10am and departure at 5pm. The arrival time must be communicated to the hotel.". Rooms might not be available before 10 am especially in circumstances in which the hotel is fully-booked on the night before.
