Bed bugs for starting...

I woke up with bed bug bites, stil scratching. During the 4 nights of my stay the bed linen was not changed. TV remote control barely works. Toilet vase has no water flow enough to clean debris. I booked direct through the Accor website and paid in advance for my stay, so far my LeClub points credit does not appear on my statement.

The Ibis was a last minute booking and am pleased to say that all staff encountered were helpful and friendly. Disappointingly, however, the room needed some attention. There was quite a lot if mould on the ceilings and the windows were covered in dirt and clearly has not been cleaned in a long time. The daily clean was fine - beds had been made well etc, but the room was in great need of a deep clean.

The room was wonderful. The staff was wonderful. They helped me enormously with attempts to reach my people through my computer and the hotel's computer which were both unsuccessful. They replaced my room phone, and then discovered that the phone's outlet was the problem. With a working phone, I was finally able to reach my contacts. The not-so-wonderful part was the COLD shower. When I got there, it was already set for the hottest setting, but no amount of coaxing got anything but very cold water from it - not even morno. Electric shower heads would solve this, perhaps. ( I've had the same experience at the Ibis Aeroporto Hotel in the past.) American Airlines paid for this, so I really have no idea about the value for money question.

The people from Reception were so kind and sincerely to me and helped me a lot with any info there etc.. I would like to say thank you so much for their attitude to my self, my warm regards to anyone there!! Just have one remark, in the morning it is very noisy by the maids staff??

Although the staff was kind and caring, the infrastructure was unacceptable. The shower tap fell in my hand and I was not able to open or control the shower temperature (room 461). The front desk agent gave me access to another room to have shower (room 471) where the same thing happened. Also, on Thursday Dec 13th there were no parking lots available – apparently due to an event – that caused me unexpected stress.

AC wasn’t good enough. Water from the shower had a weird smell. Room and pillows smelled like old. Keys didn’t work right either, we had to reactivate them every day. The lady at the check in is so unfriendly, she seems like she doesn’t want to be there. Breakfast at Novotel was very good, you can also use their pool (when they are not having an event there).

I think the Ibis Manaus Distrito Industrial could be more attentioness with the rooms: - Maintenance: Some rooms look old, or not so took care of. - Clean: More attention to that. - TV Channels: Could provide more options the clients - Power plug / USB close to the bed: In order to charge the phone during the night. I would like to emphasized I have 3 requested and it was promptly attended: - There were few ants on the table, and they were wiped out - Pillow: I have requested a soft pillow, and Ibis provide a very good one (I slept much better than the first night). - Print/Scan: I needed to print, sign and return a document, and the reception was very helpful on that.
