The room was very clean and the reception staff were lovely. The room itself was absolutely tiny. The bathroom reminded me of one on a boat or in a caravan. Soooo small and didn’t feel secure at all. Felt like I was going to fall through the floor? Very bad value for money. Way to expensive for what you get.

I have stayed at this hotel previously, about 10 years ago.. Because of the good service and reasonable pricing last time, I booked for NYE as treat for my sister visiting from Melbourne. The staff member Cameron on our arrival was welcoming and extremely professional. Also the staff member Anna working on 1/01/22 was also extremely professional and helpful. They both made our stay enjoyable! The only negative was the bathroom, it was like being is a spaceship, not the best experience.

Ibis is well located to buses, trams, and shopping centres supplying me with all I required. Nice to walk along the river in the early morning and then go and have a buffet breakfast! My husband was working but I was able to enjoy all amenities. Rooms clean and quite roomy. The "pod" bathroom was a bit strange and quite a step up and, if we had stayed after I had had my knees done I would not have been able to cope with the high step but as my knees have fully healed it was alright. Staff were friendly and helpful also assisting me printing out some documents which we needed for our Visit - Thank you. Chef was very helpful and lovely meals. Good Covid rules were in place.

We had a pleasant one-night stay with you. We had previously booked through a 3rd party for 2 nights, but changed to 1 night due to Covid preventing us from visiting some friends. I made the 2nd booking directly with the hotel. In fact, the 2nd booking cost about as much as the 1st. Too expensive when compared with say the Roundhouse.

Two nights, during COVID-19. Staff were very good especially at check in. A fire alarm during the night was professionally handled. I ate in hotel both nights to reduce infection risk and enjoyed both meals. Would happily return.

Easy check-in and parking, comfortable rooms (did miss having a shower-cap), and a wide-ranging buffet breakfast. Good advice on where to find a nearby restaurant for dinner.

I have enjoyed the quietness in the room, the hot water shower, Kim from reception is an absolutely fantastic lady with best social skills ever and Rebecca the chef is also a great asset to your business. Becca she remembered my coffee order the second time I was visiting your Ibis for the second week in a row. What I didn’t like a very slim receptionist who looks very tense, anxious and not in the mood for greeting her customers in her Ibis motel. She could have had a bad day!! Not sure.

Excellent room and location, parking and meals available at reasonable prices, although I didn't use the dining facilities. Have used the dining facilities before in previous stays and the food is always good. On the down side, would have liked to open the window a bit more for fresh air - seemed to be stuck. The price per night was also a bit expensive, considering there didn't seem to be too many people staying there.

The place needs refurbishment. The fire alarm going off at 3-AM did not help, especially as it coudl barely be heard on the fourth level (where I was located). I only just detected the alarm, and feel very relieved that it was not an actual fire. The lack of a properly functioning fire alarm on the upper levels is a matter of utmost urgency to be fixed.

Booked for one night and was not unsatisfied with my stay. Room was small but was expected however I was dissappointed when I woke up to a cockroach crawling on my pillow in which resulted in me taking all bed sheets off and discovered yellow stains on my bed. I could not sleep after that because I was disgusted by what I had seen. Upon checking in, I walked into thr bathroom and saw hair inside the shower doors... I was not happy at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone at all. Also, Ive requested a refund.

I stayed a second night in Newcastle after some long standing plans changed at the last minute. Booking on the app took less than 60 seconds. On arrival the lovely lady on reception couldn't do enough to help as I was a little flustered and running late for a zoom meeting. After the meeting it was getting late, but the restaurant was still open so I had a very tasty meal. The beds are super comfortable and it's SO good to see the buffet breakfasts back! Overall I had had a very good experience

Please note that we usually service the rooms 6 days a week, however, at the time you stayed and with the start of the outbreak in Newcastle, we made the decision to stop servicing the rooms to keep guests and staff safe. information was printed on reception in the elevator and also a letter put in the rooms for guests to just let us know if they need anything. I am really sorry if this was missed for your room. Sanitizer is available at the entrance of the hotel, reception and in the restaurant, thank you for your feedback in regards to the elevator, I will follow up with the team to see if this is something we can offer in the lifts as well. Please always feel free to address any concerns during your stay directly with the team, so we have the opportunity to rectify your concerns and make your stay as comfortable as possible. Location was great. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Staff were polite. Chef didn’t turn up so no breakfast 😞 No warning given so delayed departure for breakfast for no reason. Talking to other people staying indicated chef often turns up late or not at all.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel, only one night, last week. The hotel was spotless throughout. Bedding was most comfortable. The staff throughout the hotel including the breakfast cook were most friendly, possibly the friendliest overall found in any Accor hotel. Well done!
