Awful and Sloppy Customer Service

Dirty towels right out of the plastic bags for starters clearly clogged toilet. After at least 5 minutes trying to get someone from the front desk to answer the phone, maintenance staff told me it was "normal" and nothing could be done. Eggs at breakfast would indicate only "eggs" even if you could inadvertently take a bite of ham at your own risk. When I warned the staff about the lack of attention it showed in regards to restricted diets a shrug and a laugh was all I could get. Front desk receptionist would not answer the direct lines, unless you'd go down to ask something face-to-face in the middle of a pandemic. Air-conditioning went out during an entire night in a city where the temperature was reaching around 35º C during the week. Tried to book the gym and was told I'd get a call when it was free to use... reckon I'm still waiting for the call

The hotel is absolutely terrible. It should not be under NOVOTEL brand. The AC was not working, the first room we checked in was smelling like cigarette. We changed rooms but also the AC was not working. We called the reception and the staff was aware and confirmed this is a recurrent problem. Talking with my networking , it is cleat that the public in general is very dissatisfied with this Hotel. This property is a disservice to Accor Hotels. I demand my money back. Absolutely ridiculous place to stay with my family and 6 months old baby. Reinaldo F.

The nastiest hotel Ive been in my life… simply disgusting. Me and my family (two little kids) got sick after staying in this pigsty! I will NEVER stay on an Accor hotel again and I will advocate against you for the rest of my life!

Rooms lacked maintenance, toilet seat was loose anf bathroom was not well cleaned, the floor was slippery. When we arrived, the room assigned had just one pillow and one towel (we are a family of four). This showed that the room was not prepared to us. I also booked the room office for work. And, at my check in, nobody knew I had this type of reservation. The office rooms are not the same as advertised. Pictures do not match the actual office. Overall, the hotel is not prepared for a good customer service. The Novotel Porto Alegre is not alike or in line with the Novotel standards.
