« Excellent hotel »

The staff were amazing. I had had a very long 10 hour journey in terrible weather to get to Calais and the staff couldn't do enough for me and my dog. The room was on the ground floor with laminate (great for the dog after we had been out for a walk in the storm) and there is a restaurant with a separate area where the dog can be with you when you eat. The staff went above and beyond, even looking after the dog at breakfast so I could choose what I wanted from the buffet.

Friendly staff, hotel clean and welcoming. Our only thoughts were some of the armchairs were a little tired looking. Have stayed several times with no complains.

« Ideal for short stay »

Excellent location for shuttle terminal and a multitude of shops. Friendly staff, good secure parking. Only thought the armchairs are a little tired. have used the hotel several times with out a single complaint.

Ever so friendly staff. Personally I prefer to eat out but the food in the restaurant is reasonable. Nice to see water and coffee reinstated in the rooms and you can't beat there showers. The only thing that lets this hotel is fan above the door still noisy.

Bed was very uncomfortable with a plastic liner under the sheet. Pillows look good but are awful to sleep on as they sink to nothing. The toilet was running all night. Hairdryer was broken

« Well Located and a Good Stay »

Your receptionist on the night of our stay in Calais Tunnel was extremely helpful to me, trying unsuccessfully to change my next nights booking in the Ibis Issoire, because I was afraid of Snow in the Massive Central. The staff there were most unhelpful. But your hotel receptionist in Calais made phone calls and arranged for me to change my booking from Issoire to Ibis Limoges North , where we were well looked after. My wife and I have stayed in your Group hotels for well over 25 years and one of the key features was helpful employees, preferably with the ability to speak...English !

We stayed for one night before catching the Eurotunnel back to UK next day. I did originally almost book the Ibis budget hotel but so glad I didn't as the full price one was what I would call a budget hotel. We had driven all day through France to reach Coquelles and were looking forward to flaking out on the bed with a nice cup of tea and then maybe a bath. Check in was ok but thr room was a huge disappointment. No tea making facilities. I went to reception to see if I could get a hot drink. Seven euros for two luke warm drinks in cups with badly chipped rims. The room itself was clean but very poorly furnished. Cheap furniture and a tv which like a lot of hotels now had reception problems. The bathroom was a prefabricated plastic monstrosity stuck in the corner of the room. Agai it served its purpose but very cheap and little privacy with the poorly fitting plastic door. The heating system was slow to respond and even turned up as hot as possible the room remained only warmish. If you intend staying with your dog as we did be aware that there is no dog walking areas at all. Our poor dog had to make do with walking around the streets by the hotel. On the plus side the hotel is very close to the Eurotunnel check in, there is a McDonalds just across the road along with a bistro and Chinese buffet style restaurant. The massive shopping centre, the Cite, is also wiithin walking distance. Overall we were very disappointed and will not stay in an Ibis again. The final cost was over 80 euros and no breakfast included. Next time we will go back to the holiday Inn, Coquelles. Swimming pool, deals tobe had to include breakfast if you book early enough, not too far from the Eurotunnel check in and super dog friendly as it has a massive lawned area at the back of it for your dog tu run round in. Costs about another 20 euros or so but we are willing to pay that bit extra having seen what the alternative is.

« Perfect for a short weekend »

The rooms are a good size, very clean, the bathroom is very good as well, very good shower. We had book with breakfast which was plentiful and excellent, Good coffee. We took a last minute decision on having dinner in the restaurant. The food was OK for the price, but the service was inexperienced, which took some of the pleasure away from enjoying the meal.
