A tired hotel needing lots of maintenance

Poor value for money, far better value hotels a short distance away in town. We stayed there to be near the train station, not worth it. Walk slightly further to a hotel nearer to town or take an in-expensive taxi. Carpets totally worn out in the corridors, those in the room look like that in a group house-poorly vacuumed, furniture in rooms extremely tired and coming apart. Room/hotel overheated, turned heater off and opened the window, the room did not cool down

Clean hotel, large comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. Very cheap price compared to other hotels. Safe environment. Public transportation is available everywhere and frequently. Metro adjacent to the hotel. Nearby railway station. The hotel staff is courteous, professional and attentive to guest requests. 24 hour reception. In short, on our next visit we will return to this hotel.

The IBIS brand is a preferable accomodation network usually for me For instant the day before to come to IBIS Nord I was guest of IBIS Hotel in Graz Austria. So believe that also the individual hotels have to be at the level of network.

Ibis is a fair hotel al around and Ibis Bucuresti Gara de Nord is no exception. Clean, warm, well located, i would highly recomend with the exception of Parking. Beside that is extremely expensive, the parking barrier was not working and nobody was around to help. The parking policy must be revised to meet the European Ibis standards. First impression bad but in the end satisfied with the room , breakfast and overall say.

The generous size of the rooms, their cleanliness and the ideal location, 30 m away from the metro station, are be the best reasons to choose this hotel. Furthermore: the competent and helpful staff of the hotel make me feel like home every time I return to this hotel. Actually the Ibis Gara de Nord already became the only hotel I book in Bucharest. I would not go anywhere else.

Ibis is as it is supposed to be , clean, comfy, good breakfast. The only downside, the parking is too expensive (3 times higher that the public parking around) and when I arrived the entrance barrier was not working and there was no "helping" employee around. The overall attitude was je m'en fiche....First impression was bad but after the stay in was good.

The hotel is located in an area close to where we needed to go and that is why we chose it. It was a good choice and all in all we could enjoy a pleasant, comfortable stay with rich and varied breakfast.

Nice hotel conveniently located at the centre of Bucharest. The rooms are large with good facilities, but somewhat dated. The breakfast was good. The only matter of concern was that I was asked in the hotel to pay again for my stay, although I had already prepaid when I booked the room. My credit card was not charged twice, but due to the difference in the exchange rates between the time of booking and the time of stay I ended paying a bit more than the initial amount quoted.
