The hotel offered very basic faciliies but at a good price. Could hav done with some basic tea making facilities in room

All good, was in room 118 this trip, compared tp 103 the room just seemed dour. I understand the bathroom module must be well past use by date, but this one was gapping and unsealed and just made one feel dirty, not a particularly good thing these days. The COVID plan could be updated as well. Take a digital temperature (that's 2 seconds) and direct to the location of the sanitation station, I honestly did not see it till about 8pm. HOWEVER , Andrew and his staff to a great job with what they have to work with.

Clean and comfortable room with good bed. Housekeeping very friendly allowing us to access a couple of chairs to avoid us having to twist while sitting on the bed. We were supplied, when asked for at reception, a paper bag containing takeaway cup with tea/coffee sachets. The reception area was very unwelcoming with stacked chairs and tables cluttered with paperwork plus stacks of laundry on the floor close to stair access. Overlooking these problems our night was ok.

I had an enjoyable stay at this affordable hotel, which is handy to the freeway link road and to the Wallsend shops for food etc. Accommodation is basic but adequate, and the place is clean and secure.

Reception was untidy, not advised coffee and tea now not provided in room. Had to go back to reception to get coffee supplies. Breakfast facility closed (understandable) but room full of overflow boxes which looked very unkempt.

I have stayed in some basic, budget accommodation in my time, but even those have some creature comforts - a pillow that is a bit thicker than a couple of tissues, a glass, even a plastic cup for some water and some shampoo maybe?! I guess the price was reflective of the service received, but to not even have drinking water on offer when the vending machine was broken was a pretty poor show. Conveniently positioned, but I would rather pay $5 more and have a cup, shampoo and half a pillow more...

No fresh towels, no cups,room light was flickering and room wasn’t done when I was a work!

We have transitioned to al AllSafe program that increases the hygiene of the hotel and limits any contamination risk under the current COVID climate we are facing. I completely understand that cleaning is paramount but the over use of Glen 20 is overpowering. It is used everywhere in the hotel to the point I could not breath. I was unable to stay there. The next hotel I was able to go to was $40 more than this one.Not happy. Please remember that toxic chemicals can caused to major allergic reactions - I am lucky I did not end up in hospital. Unfortunately, I will not be staying here for the foreseeable future.

It took four rooms to finally get one that was of an acceptable standard. First room had something spilt in the freezer and the next two rooms had left over food from previous guests in the fridges. We eventually got Room 103, and I can only guess that the un-numbered room over the hall must be a designated smoking room, as we could smell cigarette smoke for most of the time we were there.

Was not allocated a room in the area of the motel that was requested at time of making phone booking and was told wasn't going to be a problem and would be done. It wasn't. Dirty grubby room key card given to us that looked like someone had left half their breakfast on. Far from being satisfactory particularly with the current covid situation. Bed in our room was the worst ever slept on! Matress had a massive hollow / sag on one side of the bed like one person had laid in the same spot for years. (had to spin and turn the matress to try and make it better to little to no avail). One of the pillows stunk to high heaven even though the pillow case was clean. Closer inspection revealed a yellow stained smelly pillow living inside the pillow case so we only had the one pillow. Please note, The issues with the bed and pillows was not detected until we were ready to go to sleep. By the time we got to back to the motel from being out there were no staff to report the issues to. We stay at Ibis budget Enfield regularly and it's 5 star compared to this one we stayed at at Wallsend. Need to lift their game. We wont be staying there again.

Room 102, The smell in the shower / toilet was very unpleasant. I do not believe that this is the result of poor cleaning or maintenance but a design flaw in the modules themselves with either condensation or poor seals causing mould or water to stagnate under or in the floor. The room cost $104 for the night, the starting price of $85 would have been more appropriate.
