We have stayed in several Ibis hotels both in Belgium and the UK and I feel that this one was the poorest in terms of comfort and traveler experience. The decor in the rooms is drab and a picture on the walls here and there would help to brighten the place up. The bathrooms badly need refurbished, especially the shower area which is not as clean as it could be. We had a problem with the plumbing in the first room we were allocated so we had to move to another room. The staff could be more welcoming and friendly, especially on arrival and departure. In the bar we were served a glass of wine which was obviously off. The member of staff replaced it but there was no apology whatsoever. On two occasions customers (ourselves included) were left waiting at the desk while staff finished their cigarettes outside. The door is left open so that the smell of the smoke comes into the foyer. We also had to close the window in our bedroom as the smell of the smoke rose from the front of the building.

Always love staying at Ibis Waterloo <= What more can I say ? I have filled out these feed backs before. And each time the one and only problem I have is that the 'Do Not Disturb' sign for the door is a complete waste of time as the cleaning staff completely ignore it. Each day 2-3 times knock knock on the door. If I ignore it they open the door. Damn annoying. 'Do Not Disturb' means 'Do Not Disturb', means I dont want new towels (which you guys encourage through your tree planting program participation), I dont want bed made, I DONT WANT TO BE DISTURBED. Again, I love staying at Ibis very much. Everything is excellent. Please please please, teach your cleaning staff the meaning of 'Do Not Disturb' and everything will be 100% perfect. I may be back there is 1-2 weeks.

OK in general. But I doubt I will stay again. The problem is that I paid 150eur to stay for 1 night, and when I went to ask for a toothbrush they were asking me to pay 10eur.

« Terrible nights sleep »

I stayed at the ibis as I had an important meeting the next day. The room was too hot so I had to keep a LOUD fan on all night and my double bed was two single beds pushed together which separated durning the night meaning I kept falling between them. The hotel itself resembles more of a hostel than a hotel.
