Lovely staff, clean room

Lovely, friendly staff that did what they could. However, during my whole stay I had problems with my room lock, it took between 10-30 tries to open, no matter which key was used. One time, I needed assistance from night security because I just could not make it work. As the place was booked solid, I just dealt with it. When I went to bed early, there was noise from a nightclub outside being very loud and annoying, despite closed windows and decent earplugs. It only stopped at around 05:00. The bed was also a bit too firm for my liking, leaving me sore instead of well-rested, but that's common across hotels. All in all very friendly staff and a decent, clean room with all the amenities I needed, just a bit of bad luck on the lock and the noise part.

I wasn't even meant to be staying at the Ibis, but after a booking agency messed up my hotel booking elsewhere, friends of mine offered me space in their rooms over the weekend. The staff were wonderful, providing extra bedding, towels, tea, glasses etc. at various times so I could be comfortable as an additional guest. I was able to book my own room on the last night of the weekend and everything went smoothly. I really cannot thank the staff enough for helping me with my numerous requests, especially on such a busy festival weekend. They all went above and beyond 😊

The room I was allocated was very dirty .room 233 please the sink was dirty , the carpet n there was a lot of dust felt like it had not been cleaned in a while .I showed some of the pictures I took to one of the employees..overally It worked out well due to the distance to where I wanted to go.
