The hotel es very well located, close to nice places to visit, room was comfortable and well designed. The restaurant and bars of the hotel are also nice to chill at the end of the day.

After reviewing a number of hotels in Quito for our base for our Galapagos tour, Mercure Alameda Quito was an easy choice. The hotel is truly a 5 star hotel in downtown Quito at a very affordable rate. Well appointed, super nice decor, spacious rooms a top notch gym and spa combined with a friendly and very helpful staff. The rooms were very spacious, well appointed and very clean (king size beds were more like king and a half!!). The hotel also provides private transportation to and from the airport at a reasonable rate.

Lovely hotel in a great location however we were warned not to get a taxi alone. Some good restaurants and bars nearby and an easy walk in to the historical centre. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. I arrived in the middle of the independence celebrations and had fabulous views of the parades. Excellent. Bar prices were expensive but great service.

Don’t expect to get any sleep!!

Loudest hotel I have ever stayed in. Most of the noise is actually coming from the hotel lobby/bar area. They blast music and DJs from around 10pm - 2am. The windows are so thin its like a concert outside your window. I could sing along with the words it’s so loud. The constant horn honking and dog barking are annoying too, but that isn’t the hotel’s fault. However the ridiculously loud music is!! As a hotel their main goal should be to give guests a good night sleep. If you want to sleep at all do not stay here. I’m on the sixth floor for reference. After enduring this for a second night I finally complained. They said I could switch rooms, but it’s 1130pm and I have a 330am wake up call for a flight to the Galapagos. Everything is all laid out for efficiency in the morning. I do not want to get up and get dressed and pack and move in the middle of the night.

stayed here for 3 nights while on a tour the rooms where bright and large with all that you need , the restaurant was reasonable in price and good portions the breakfast buffet was ok, we didn't walk around much as the hotel suited our needs ,staff spoke very good English . There seems to be older and updated rooms we stayed in both and where as good as each other toiletries were supplied the showers had good pressure and plenty of hot water , i would suggest a higher floor room as there were parades right outside the hotel which made a bit of noise so the higher you are the quieter it will be . if i went to this area again this hotel would be a good choice
