Staff was great. Air conditioning did not work properly. I y to old them in the morning and they called at 4 pm to send someone up. Too late.

I like this place and I like the Team of Staff at the Mercure Arpoador! Thank you a Lot guys! And It is a time to Refresh the Penthouse Suite and to do the Jacuzzi working. It is the same conditions as it was 3 years ago. Time to spend some resources to this particular Room

Mould in the shower. Furniture seemed very old because a lot of things were not in good condition anymore. Toilette was leaking. Super nice staff. Size of the room/apartment was pretty big. Really nice location.

I have stayed at this hotel many times while visiting Rio, and although there are things that need improving these are mainly cosmetic. The hotel is in great location between ipanema and Copacabana beaches. The rooms are large with separate bedroom and livingroom areas with almost all rooms having small kitchenettes, although no pots or pans provided. I was here for Carnival and although very busy the front desk staff were always helpful. The downside is that the rooms can look a bit shabby compared to EU and US standards. That said I will saty here again on my next visit to Rio.

We stayed for a week and it was very clean and comfortable but the aircon and noise from the road could be quite loud. Location was amazing with only a 3 minute walk from either copacobana or Ipanema beach..

The hotel is well located, but it we can check looking to the google maps. The problem was the difference between the photos of the room available on the website and the real room, it was very different. If Asked me to stay there again I would say no.

The hotel is great, nice location, good staff. Apartments are old (walls with failed painting, rusty metals in bathrooms). Elevators have failing buttons.

A renovated room was booked at the Mercury Arpoador. However, despite the renovation, the room looked worn out without proper conservation (broken window handle, burnt out bath and reading lights). In addition, the service was poor as simple ordering with a Do Not Disturb sign was not provided during the stay, and there were no plates and cutlery to be provided outside the restaurant opening hours (until 10 pm).

Good, but with minor imperfections

Location of the hotel is perfect , breakfast is excellent, staff very friendly and helpfull. However, I experienced some minor imperfections : - after check-in @ 14:00 the room was supposed to be ready but wasn't ( refrigerator defrosting, towels all over the floor ) - I was ordered to leave the pool area at noon because the lifeguard (?) wanted to go to lunch - Shower in room 302 not very pleasant : water flow stops every now and then followed by a blast of stone cold water - When opening the corner window in the bedroom the entire window came out of its frame (!) and had to push it back in with force.

Enjoyed my stay. Spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Friendly and very welcoming staff. Lifts a bit rickety and parking out front a challenge. Nice desk in room to work at. Small gym but good lap pool. Would stay again.

The hotel is located between Ipanema and Copacabana beach. 2 minutes walking distance. Staff in general speaks english, if not they will transfer you to someone who take care of you. Room cleanliness is perfect. The housekeeping staff smiles at you. Breakfast is awesome, the best was the Crêpes with chocolate. Pool is good for a little refreshment during the afternoon. Love the water in the lobby. Everything was perfect. Thank you for the experience, now we are back in the snow in Canada, Quebec City. Already miss Brazil.

Elevator needs maintenance. I I would press my floor number, and it would not stop there. This happened on two different days. B4 is the bathroom used by waiting guests. The button for B4, is virtually invisible from useage. It led to a not so pleasant experience for me. I think maid service needs a makeover. I am working my day on their schedule. There were no Room Boards that say "do not disturb" or "make up my room" Whoever prepared that room, left out a very important thing. I usually rent an apartment in Rio, so I was not really looking for them. I would get knocks on the door at least 3 times a day. I Only one person at the front desk asked me if I had a room board (new phrase for me) figured it out. and two were left for me at the front desk. Four days of hell, and finally we got it straight. Also all staff (cleaning included) need better communications with each other.
