Hotel is situated at the very end of the crescent beach in a quiet area but far from attractions, restaurants and shops. Architecture inside and outside very beautifull. Staff at reception, breakfast-room and pool offer excellent service. Servicing of rooms is somewhat slow. Diner in Moroccon speciality restaurant was not exciting.

Everything worked well and the hotel is super! The check-in was very friendly but a bit slow, we though arrived early (at about 13:00 so room was probably not fully ready at that time). Food and service was really great. The guys serving at the beach was extremely polite and service oriented. Have nothing negative to say, just hope to be back some time in the future... :)

My wife and i stayed at the Sofitel sea and Spa in January for 11 nights. The hotel is spotless, lovely breakfast, but the best of all are the staff, very helpful, friendly and quick to smile. If i had to find a fault with the hotel I really could not, its a great hotel.

Shortly: very nice hotel, good taste interior design, very good buffet - wonderful morrocco food- but also original, tasty and healthy creations of juices and smoothies of vegetables and fruits for starters. The coordinator and creator Mr. Hatimi gets a "special price", but also the staff is perfect. Also very professionnel all the women in the thalasso-sector. Only remark: les matelas de la piscine sont fatigués. A part ceci, l'hôtel mériterais 5 étoiles (à la place des 4).

Excellent staff members. They made my sister and I feel very welcome and made our trip very enjoyable by recommending local places to visit. Farah El Fkhar was thoughtful and kind at all times and was happy to assist whenever we asked! Abdellotif was very kind and helped us out numerous times! He even went out to purchase a hand-made souvenir for us when we were running late for our flight back to London - thank you! we are very grateful for that! Also, other staff members including Fatima, Noura, Bacha, Mohammed, Hassna and Mustapha were very kind and always helped out when needed. The rooms were clean and facilities were splendid. The only thing I would recommend the hotel to improve on is the food they serve. The food served looks great but lacks the authentic Moroccan taste which was found within the restaurants in the city centre. Overall, the journey was marvellous due to the people who were there! You've employed excellent human beings that truly take care of the hotel and their guests. Will come again!

Very nice hotel with top staff, especially housekeeping, Mrs Farah needs to be mentioned in a very positive wat. However two major deficiencies needs to be mentioned. 1) The financial systems do not reflect the quality of the hotel. A double charge of my creditcard for the full stay cost is unacceptable, especially as it takes three week to resolve this issue. Also providing a final settlement bill without the signed restaurant and / or bar bills makes it impossible to check the final settlement. very strange financial management indeed. 2) The feathered top on the matras was very old and boggled. These tops need to be renewed every 6 or 7 years. I know as I Have a Sofitel bed ar home. This was very unpleasant sleeping.

This was our third visit to the hotel. Before, we went in January and the weather was good. Unfortunately, this time in November it was less so and there is little to do on rainy days at the hotel. There is nowhere light and comfortable to sit and read inside and no café/coffee shop to relax and have a coffee and pastry. It is also quite a distance from areas in Agadir where this is possible.

I enjoyed a week here with my girlfriend. We booked an airport transfer which was massively over-priced but was a superb experience with a lovely driver both ways and took away many of the stresses and strains of arriving and departing an airport such as Agadir (separate review!). At the hotel we were greeted and invited to enjoy some Moroccan treats and tea. Despite being an Accor member and having checked in online already I still had to go through all the paperwork and hand over a deposit. I am used to systems not being joined up though and was too tired to argue :) After 30 minutes the concierge took us on a tour of the hotel (very useful) and then to our room. Positives: - the staff are superb. Reception staff (incl. concierge staff) are personable, attentive and responsive. They are a credit to the Accor brand. Hospitality staff always greet you (regardless of their role) and we felt acknowledged at every moment. I was also gratified to see a number of female staff in roles of responsibility. - decor of the hotel is lovely and befitting of a five-star hotel world-wide. Delightful pieces of artwork and there is constant attention from staff to keep public areas clean and tidy and well maintained. - food/drinks selection was good - the buffet was as varied as I've experienced anywhere in the world - overall ambience around the pool is pleasant with some nice, gentle music playing and good sunbeds available. Negatives: - the beds are terrible. Really bad. Super firm mattresses that could only suit people sleeping on their back. These are then covered with a duvet under the bed sheet. By the 3rd night my back was in pieces and I had muscle spasms down my side. The mattresses need replacing or have a proper mattress topper under the bed sheet - NOT a duvet. We removed the duvet and tried to sleep on our back. - connecting doors in most rooms. All they do is allow noise from your neighbour to come through until they decide to sleep. The room next to us without the door we could hear NOTHING. The room with the door we heard EVERYTHING. We couldn't even hear noise from the corridor but this stupid door annoyed us. - room cleaning. Inconsistent. Times varied; items were not replaced (tea not at all, sometimes water, some toiletries but not all). Too much attention paid to cleaning balcony but the bedroom table was not wiped ONCE the entire time we were there. I left some dead ants on the table to validate this :) There was a weird turn-down service in the evening which also seemed very inconsistent. - The main pool (as many have noted) has a ruined tile floor to it. I have an injury that means any small slip could have catastrophic implications for me so I stayed away. Staff there should approach and offer services occasionally. - the prices. Over-priced :) I'd say in terms of value for money the hotel is ~15% too high. Food, drinks all cost a lot which hurts when you consider they can't even give you a few tea bags in your hotel room! If you are going to charge this much you need to be faultless (or close to it) in every respect. Where is the free shuttle? This place is not there YET. Being able to speak French was SOME benefit but the requirement that others have said. It made for more pleasant conversation and it was easier to express myself and get what I wanted but it was not essential at all. I feel like the staff really want to improve things so I offer the following recommendations: - restaurant, clearly advertise what food is in the buffet (including allergens) - adjust your prices according European expectations, not just in relation to other Agadir hotels - charging 200 dirhams EACH just to use the hotel swimming pool and steam room is outrageous. It's very nice but not something 5-star guests should have to pay for. I have NEVER had to do in any of the hotels I've tried. - fix the mattresses and noise issues with doors - cleaning checklist for cleaners to ensure consistency EVERY DAY - replace everything!
