The stay and room was great. But the food I ordered from room service was cold when it arrived and tasted off so that was disappointing. Also the stuff weren’t that great I suppose you can practice more on custom service regardless of a persons ethnicity

Dear Lesa Thanks for staying with us and for taking the time to do your review. It is disappointing to hear that as a staff member of Accor you were treated in any other way than as a VIP and looked after the way we would have liked you to have been. I do note that you had a couple of issues with the room service - the first being that you felt it was cold and not to standard which I am sorry was the case. We have a new Executive Chef that started late last week so we have discussed this with him and asked him to review this service. The second was I understand that there was confusion over the discount for Bienvenue staff discount and that this was explained that the discount only applies in the restaurant which is the case. It looks as if the discount was given despite this being explained due to the confusion and so as not to embarrass you. While I would accept that we can always do more training and can always improve our service to all guests I do feel your comment about ethnicity is off the mark. We have a staff that covers 28 different nationalities and we work to try to make all ethnicities feel welcome. If you have a particular comment that was made then let me know and I would be happy to follow up. Thanks for your feedback - We apologise if we did not get everything right for you but we do hope that you had an enjoyable time in Queenstown and got a good break away. regards Jim Moore General Manager

I had an average stay at Novotel- the location was great- but there was no guest parking, the room I booked was not available as builders/contractors were working on that side. I felt unwell and tested positive for COVID so I had a very restricted experience of the hotel (in isolation). Service was average and food/menu options average.
