I've stayed several times at Mercure Duesseldorf Cit Center and have not been disappointed yet. The rooms could do with an upgrade, but otherwise everything is fine: it's quiet, clean, the staff are friendly and efficient, and breakfast is excellent.

« Good hotel but can’t say it’s 4 stars »

We stayed there for 4 nights. The room furniture was not bad but we had two beds attached to each other with small separate covers for each bed. Also there was a place for the mini bar in the room but locked and without the mini bar. The staff is nice and welcoming and I didn’t take time to check in. I didn’t complain about those two issues but for a 4 stars hotel it was strange for me specially that it is not a cheap one.

Again a very nice stay, in a big nice room, thanks to the upgrade. Good breakfast with enough variation, even for our stay of 10 nights. The bartender is not the most jovial person, a bit of a stiff man, but correct.

« Everything was good except for two issues at the end of my stay »

Well the location of the hotel from the airport and my destination location was pretty near and I enjoyed the bar a lot. However, on my very last day I was locked out of my room 2 hours prior to check-out, when I went downstairs with this problem I had to keep coming back because it kept happening over and over again. It was rather inconvenient for me to be locked out at such a stressful time. Moreover, there were renovation happening in the hotel and caused the pipes to not send hot water to the rooms and the water for taking bath was totally cold.

I came to the meet the marketing manager to start bringing groups from Malta as from next summer. I stayed in a single roo. The bathroom was a little small and claustrophobic. There was also the ventilator cover in the bathroom out of place.

The location is amazing, so close to Hbf, can go anywhere in foot distance. Awesome restaurants around...I wish the parking for hotel was not so expensive. I t is 19 Euro but the next public park house in 6 Euro.

« Room didn't feel clean, booking mess »

Self check-in mail link led to a canceled booking on my account, had to re-book vie the Accor call center, very unfriendly, and forced to take a more expensive room. When I get to the hotel, I am told I have 2 bookings and asked to wait. Main lift not working. Room allocated was quiet, but very small, super small bathroom, and did not feel clean: renovation is overdue. Breakfast was several notches above the rest of the hotel, really good choice and quality.

« The hotel seems to be worser from year to year »

I stay at your hotel every year, but from year to year I see no renovation at all - the carpet on flor - with dirty dots, the blanket was unclean... this stay I had an unpleasant experience with the lack of shampoo on the second day of my stay - I took a shower and afterwards realised that the bottle was empty - I wanted to take it off the clip on the wall to fill in the rest with water, but the clip was full with dark mold inside!!!! I felt absolutely disappointed staying wet under the shower with no shampoo and bad feeling that I washed my head a day ago with a mold!!! It was terrific!!!! I've never experienced that before in a 4-star hotel!!! Therefore I was surprised to know at the reception that the presence of a shower cap in the bathroom is considered to be an extra service. Truly to say, except the location and breakfast there-s nothing to be proud of at your hotel.

« Great service and relaxed stay »

Great experience overall, the beds are comfy and give you a relaxed night's sleep. Only downside was the noise in the early hours of Sunday morning but that's really the only let down at this stay. Clean and bright, would certainly recommend the hotel. If you need a quiet night ask for a room not facing the main street.

Room was dirty and not pleasant to stay in. Area was not as described and the food available from the bar restaurant was disgusting. Will give a mention to reception staff who were lovely and accommodating - gave no faults with them and their service.

« Again Mercure does not fulfills expectations. »

Staff was very good and friendly, however rooms are aged, and in addition my room 455 had a horrible smell like sewage (Abwasser). It is so strong that i needed to sleep with the window open. A very disgusting experience for a "suite". If I werent in business but for pleasure I would have change the room and even hotel.

I was expecting a better service and maintenance from a 4 star hotel. Dust all over the stair case, elevator has been shaky and horrible. Check-in experience can be better considering that I have been a loyal customer since 2017 and a silver card member.

We booked 2 rooms. 1 room we got right away, but another room we have to wait until 16-17.00 Water was off and on. And next Day, Only cold water. So no showers.
