Arrived about an hour after the government advised to shut down all cafes, pubs and restaurants. The team at reception were really helpful and fired up the oven to make me a pizza for dinner.

Could of been better this time

This was the third time that I have stayed at Ibis in Reading and unfortunately this time wasn't so great. Firstly the staff are great. They are the best part of the hotel - very friendly and helpful. The issues I had with this stay was that the water pressure in the shower was very low and the even with the water on the hottest level the shower was not hot and lost hot water every now and then. The fire alarm also intermittently went off for about an hour at 5.30am on a Sunday morning which was not great. The hotel was very noisy with people walking up and down the corridor all night, knocking on doors. Now I appreciate this last one is not the fault of the hotel, but it did add to the stay not being the best. Otherwise the room is great and the bed is comfortable and apart from the above the hotel is very well worth the money you pay.

When I arrived, checkin was very easy and the member of staff was very friendly. Everything was explained to me and I went up to my room. The room itself is very nice and spacious. It was very clean. Checkout was nice and easy. However it was cold and there was no way of turning the heating up.

For the price I expected more. Everything was cut back and cheap. Even the bathroom was some unusual plastic pod not a separate room. Also the sink plug hole was broke so we couldn't get the drain open.

I had a very comfortable sleep all the nights I stayed. Good located with a town view. Good space, bathroom mirror and shower. Wanted to stay more nights I would really recommend.

I turned up a little early and was greeted by a lovely lady (Maria) on reception. She was so welcoming and didn’t even question my being there early, checked me in and explained what to do. She allowed me to leave a card for my fiancé as he was getting there later. On checkout she was very helpful and friendly too. She is a credit to your company.

Hi I stayed for one night and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean and the staff member who checked me in friendly and polite. I was most surprised by the quality of the breakfast, really nice food which was well presented. I would stay again if the need ever arises.

a good base for work and come rooms, they could do with a better heating system as sometimes the rooms can be cold. staff are very friendly especially the breakfast team with a special mention to Danniele who is always friendly and welcoming

From the outset the Reading ibis was flexible and accommodating. The staff with 'Let me check you in' on their tops were clearly visible and when there was a slight queue, one of the other staff appear with their mobile device to check me in. It was no problem to get a paper receipt and where to get breakfast was clearly noted to me. The room was designed to be the most functional within the space. Little details such as plug sockets below the mirror (essential for hairdryers), plug sockets by the bed to charge phones which also doubles up as my alarm clock), available hairdryer and padded seat that could double up as a seat or a place to put your backs made the visit so pleasurable. This was in addition to the standard facilities within room - tea, coffee and kettle and shower gels in the bathroom. I also could not hear either the people either side or the Reading cars / people. I stayed on a Monday night so whether the same applies at the weekend I am not sure but it felt totally quiet in my room. Enjoyed my visit!
