The hotel is beautiful and we had a nice stay but lots of improvement is needed to customer service and attention to detail to qualify as a 5-star hotel.

one of the 5 star hotels in yogyakarta with a colonial era heritage concept, a strategic area is very helpful if you want to visit the city center, there are various restaurants and souvenir places to visit.

Tired, dirty room in desperate need of renovation

We booked an executive room (approx 200 AUD a night) and were given rm 334. The sofa was dirty and stained. The air conditioning sounded like a jet engine (we asked for this to be looked at and were told "that's just the way it is"), the shower was only just attached to the bathroom wall, and the bathroom fan was hanging out of the ceiling. The balcony had a horrible view of the carpark and neighboring office block. The room wasn't worth 100 AUD a night let alone the 200 AUD we paid. I think the hotel are well aware of the condition of some of the rooms because every time we were at the reception desk guests were phoning requesting to move rooms. This is no where near a 5 star hotel.

Nice 4 star hotel, comfortable and clean. Great breakfasts. Good rooms. Excellent service. Hotel is in a busy area (all of Jogja is busy). Rather large hotel. One strange thing is needing to walk thru the restaurant to get to the rooms, but other than that everything was terrific.

hotel interior and design is beautiful Hotel had a new year's eve party which was very loud (the people they hired had loud music on, literally shouting in the mikes etc). You are aware that your rooms are not sound proof, thus it is very important that the hotel thinks about guests sleeping at night and tone down the volume reasonably Asked for a wake up call in early morning. Staff forgot to follow up.
