« Wonderful stay! »

Very helpful & friendly like staff at Counter Ajib, Doorman Ari, waitress Dida and the 2 girls in charge of traditional drinks during breakfast. Comfortable and clean bed. The only feedback is that suggest you put the mineral water opener near the bottle or at the fridge. Had a hard time looking for it. Another feedback, at the spa, the receptionist girl on 2 Feb 9-11pm could not find any infos that I am a hotel guest and could not charge to my room. Bit of not so favourable customer experience. Eventually she found it and settled. Overall, wonderful experience at Phoenix!

Permanent bottle opener is located in the wash basin, and we are in the process of completing with additional portable bottle opener in every room which is now not yet in all rooms. You can ask for the additional and our housekeeping will be happy to bring it to your room. We also welcome your suggestion to improve our spa receptionist skills, we will do the refreshment training to our staffs. « Below expectation »

1. The room aircon was not cold enough due to weak blower despite set at maximum 2. The reception lobby is too small ...though u have a reading room adjacent to it..its almost empty most of the time...i think it would be good to convert this room into part of the lobby 3. To get to my room i need to walk thru the restaurant to take the elevator..this i find annoying 4. When i informed the receptionist i will be checking out at 5am the next morning...the hotel offered take away breakfast box...this did not happen during check out...why bother to offer if u cannot provide

« BAD ROOM : »

The room that was given to us had a view of a barb wire fence...kind of reminds one of a PRISON, not a 5 star hotel. When asked for a better view room, front desk idiot suggested that we could upgrade...at a cost. Next Time we will stay at the Santika Hotel next door, not this dump. Door security chain broken. Bathroom needs to be broken down and rebuilt. You can still have an old style hotel ...but with new bathroom fixtures. I will NOT stay here again.

Everything good other than following:- Balcony had only one chair and overlooked a petrol station. Happy hour drink rules were a bit restrictive. Wanted to finish my drink in the restaurant so as to look at the menu but was told I had to drink it in the bar.

« Friendly staff but not able to handle unexpected incident »

The room and environment is good but i had a bad experience at the restaurant on the check out date. I was having my breakfast at hotel restaurant and at the same time i also having a call using hand S.. 4 guys sitting next to me disturbed me by moved to my table and interrupted my phone call. my table was just next to the reception table and i asked for help when i noticed there are at least 2-3 male staff standing there. They just stood there and one of them even smiling at the guy. i have to ask 2-3 times then only someone went to lobby to look for help. The 4 guys claimed that i shouldn't make any call when i'm having my breakfast, what a ridiculous excuse because It is public place and i have a right to make conversation either through a call or with friend sit on same table. My main disappointment is the hotel staff response and not able handle unexpected incident when customer is asking for help.

« Good location but service could be better »

Enjoyed the stay due to the location of the hotel. While staff was friendly and cooperative, we had a bad experience on Day 1 when we were at the pool before checking in. The french fries / beer and coconut water took 45 mins to arrive. That is shocking and we complained about it. But otherwise stay was fine.

« Nice Heritage Hotel with Excellent service but could do some updating of rooms »

Loved the rustic charm of this hotel, with all the furniture and decors with the Phoenix theme. Excellent service from all the staff that we encountered during the stay. The spa and massage service was quite relaxing as well. Only area of improvement would be to update the rooms - the air-conditioner in my room leaked during one of the nights and soaked my cap (fortunately not any other things) and also, the handle of the shower mixer tap was not installed properly and could fall out.

« Underwhelming »

Friendly service cannot save the deteriorating infrastructure. Worse, cleanliness which should not be affected by the old infrastructure was also less than satisfactory. I have stayed in Mgallery hotels in Italy, Vietnam, and Thailand. This was a total let down and I feel sorry to have to say this because the front desk people, the cooks and every employee we encountered exudes genuine warm hospitality.
