it was my second time stayed here in the past 1,5 months interval. I got back here because of the warm ambience of the room. Size is more than adequate, really love the old parquette floorings, bathtub is a plus! and the inter-connected room really great for travellings with kids. wardrobe and storage is many. really love to come back again. One input is if Novotel can do refresh makeover on the furnitures ; sofa fabric looks old, some of wooden cabinet is not in good shape anymore, some hinges on cabinet is not precission anymore...anyway good service overall. thanks

Worst accor hotel ever

My husband had a sudden business to do in Semarang, so we join him. The reason why we choose novotel is because tentrem and gumaya was fully booked. When we arrived at night, there are 2 workers carried Wood box (similar boxlike a coffin) through the lobby, and to my horror, they didn't put their masks on while carrying the box outside. The first night we stayed at smoking room because this is the last room. The bathroom looks so poorly maintained with some scratches in the bath tub, and the towels and bed sheets and pillow look a bit greyish. I understand that this was the last room and the cheapest, but still this is novotel, I hoped for the best, oh well, not so much of a big deal. But the worst experience ever came the day after. We were promised the non smoking room, and at 9 am, a lady call to inform that the non smoking room is available but they still had to do a bit of preparation, I said no problem, I will wait. 15 minutes later, I call front office and ask her to please put the baby cot in that room, and she said yes. At 11.15, another lady call and ask me if we want to extend or not. At this point i was a bit angry, imagine waiting for more than 2 hrs just to be asked again if I want to stay in this hotel or not. I then explain to the lady that there's already someone who called me at 9 and say that the non smoking room is available and I was waiting for their call to let me know the room number. She then said sorry and will inform this to her superior. I was waiting again, and at 12 O clock, I was soooo furious that I call front office again, just to ask the lady, what should I do now. She was confused OBVIOUSLY, and ask me. I then explain AGAIN from the beginning, and she said she was really sorry, but she just started to work and didn't know to my problem. I then ask for her manager because I'm not gonna wait again, and Mr. Damar handle my complain and ask me the problem. I explain again, and he casually laugh it off and said he was really sorry for the miscommunication. This is the duty manager, and had no manner to the customer, and said it's just a miscommunication, as if it's not a big deal. Finally my children and I were escorted to my non smoking room at 1.15 pm. What a really fun way to spend my morning and let my children wait for nothing. Oh, and there's a complimentary fruit given to us at 2 o'clock, just when me and my children are about to sleep. This is by far the best and most fun experience in my stay at all accor hotels, will definitely never return to this hotel again. Words of advice, change the star number into 2 stars, so people don't expect anything. Best regards.

Checked in late, process was alright. Hotel is nice overall, Had a room with loud AC and was not cold. Since it was late, didn't bother to call engineer and forgot to mention upon checkout. Breakfast was good but there is room for improvement, better pastry and better assortments for western breakfast is advisable. No membership information found or offered.

Arrived at Semarang after a long trip from Magelang, we wanted to check-in and rest right away. Travelling with family with 2 young kids, we were surprised when we were allocated an 'ex smoking floor'. When we get to the floor, the smoke smell is still obvious in corridor and rooms and ask to be moved to a non-smoking floor. Was first refused as Reception said rooms are all full but we insisted (or we will check out) and then they managed to find us one. Once occupying the room, turned out the shower at bath tub and again surprised that the water that came out is black with lots of particles. Called the reception who sent engineering which after 15 mins told us to 'leave the water run' until it is clear. It did not happen for the next half an hour but we were too tired and wish to rest. Reported to front desk and got to rest. Breakfast selection was ok but tasted standard, and breakfast area is small and relatively full for pandemic era. Once we got back from breakfast we had a quick shower and left the hotel way before check out time.

After hours driving from Jakarta, then we can finally landed in a nice large room in a well located hotel in Semarang city center. It was a nice experience during weekend while I got this zoom meeting event on Saturday morning. And thanks to wifi hotel connection which was super !

As Accor members, we booked 3 rooms for 1 nights. They count only 1 nights at the nigths of stays, instead of rooms. So, if we booked 10 rooms for 1 nights, they only count nights of stay of 1(one) only? Front office asking not so polite whether rooms are needed anymore, as they need for further use.

Best location, near shopping center, best hospitality, very helpful and great staff, breakfast was good, wifi connection was good and there’s a charging port for your electric car at the basement carpark which is great.

One day before arrival, I confirmed that I would be at the hotel at 2 pm. I arrived at 3 pm and it seemed the room was not available yet. Took time for the check in process. The keycard was written 708, but I was checked in at room 327. I felt unexpected, didn't experience Priority check in as a member of Le Club Accor Hotels. Despite the lack of convenience at the check in, overall my stay was good.

Stay for 2 nights, strategic location, near my clients. Good staff, little bit worries about the parking space (limited space), specially when back to the hotel late at night.

The time during the pandemic should be used to upgrade the condition of the rooms. Furthermore, the supervisors should be instructed to train the stall probably and not sitting in the smoking area waiting that the working time is over for them. The service team during breakfast is very friendly and trying the best they can to fulfill the customers expectation - this excludes the Manager for this team who was never seen during our last four stays which was close to 4 weeks.

We got surprise cake in our room, really didn't expect it at all. The hotel area vibes quite busy but still manageable. The health protocol and hygiene is well maintained. The location also perfect in the heart of Semarang. The food option during breakfast time getting better compared to months before, still in pandemic times. Rooms quite old but clean. I just have good recognition for this hotel and definitely will come back soon, hopefully in a better time.

Stayed in Novotel Semarang for transit, and chosed this hotel because I am accorplus member, however seems like the staff does not recognised accorplus member here. I didnt receive any member benefit throughout my stays here. Hotel is wellmaintained, and housekeeping quickly response to our needs. Breakfast is very standard and doesnt represent 4* hotel.
