« Good stay, helpful staff, booking wasn't smooth though »

I actually booked the wrong dates because the dates on Google hotels didn't carry over to the ibis site. I realised straight after and cancelled the trip, thinking I'd be able to rebook. Instead the booking was made and cancelled within 2 minutes. I tried to call allaccor but only found the members helpline on the website. I emailed the hotel about it and they were very understanding. I managed to get my stay rebooked to the correct dates without losing my money. At the hotel the staff were helpful and the stay was comfortable. The website should be improved. Maybe consider also allowing people to cancel and rebook online within 24 hours?

« Helpful staff in a central location »

I arrived late afternoon not realising there were remedial works going on. My rest rudely interrupted by loud drilling and hammering noises. However the on duty staff quickly offered me a room on the 1st floor away from the noise. The refurbishment is a necessary evil and once all floors have been done will be an improvement.

« Really nice hotel with great staff »

I stayed three days for a work trip. The hotel was lovely. The room was fitted really well and did everything you needed from a room. The breakfasts were really lovely and the food was very good. The best of all though was the staff.. they couldn't do enough for you and made the stay warm and friendly. Thank you all!

« Ok stay »

Arrive at hotel in the evening. Didnt receive an email or any information about needing card to verify booking and have stayed previously and wasnt asked for card to verify. Luckily had the card with us. Checked in fine until we go to the room. Walking along the hall to the room there was a very strong smell of pain and signs about refurbishment. And when we entered our room the smell was over powering. I have ashtma so this is not ok and there was nothing on website to warn about this. As we walked into the room we noticed that there was a double room but we in fact reserved a twin room. As there are no phones in the room we had to go back down to reception to change our room which they did do. Overall our stay this time was ok.

I have stayed here before and it was OK. This time stayed on 3rd floor and had to pass through half the floor where rooms were undergoing refurbishment. Room was fine, but with heating on, room reeked of paint.

Located centrally and very convenient. Room is small and beds very hard and not so comfortable. Everything works and the downstairs bar area is a good place to sit.

Modern room, nice breakfast with plenty of choice (hot and cold). Fast checking. Only downfall, need to sort the room key machine on front desk, twice the newly cut keys didn't work, so two trips up and down to get new ones. Fair enough on second trip a member of staff came with me but it worked this time. Happened on my last stay, get the impression it's a regular thing. Other than that small thing, great.

Friendly and value. Good facilities. Rubbish door to bath room. Whole room shakes when opening and shutting so no chance of not disturbing anyone if needing to get up in the night.

« Good location.Unfussy.Welcoming helpful staff.Reasonable b&b rate. »

My partner and I have stayed before and found it to be so convenient for a fresh air walk along the riverbank,immediate night life on the doorstep and so many restaurants to choose from. We really would have appreciated more towels or a larger towel each for our two night stay and good ,not prepackaged ,decaffeinated coffee at breakfast .
