Good location but smelly pillow!

The receptionists were very helpful and polite. The room was clean but unfortunately I slept on a very sticky pillow. The pillow case was clean but the actual pillow was stinky.

Suprising incidents

The room and location were very nice as always. There was a very strange incident of a reception calling me in my room, wanting me to leave one day earlier and not finding my reservation in the system anymore. I was told later that it was the Sofitel reception calling a Novotel room. Very strange and unpleasant. Also, there was one breakfast too many on the bill. Moreover, I am a returning customer with a Belgian id card - still you block my credit card on arrival. I’ve stayed at your hotel several times. This visit really undermined my trust.

Hotel has a good location close to the centre , staff was very helpful , we where able to check out later than 12.00 as our flight was late in the afternoon , rooms are very comfortable and clean .We surely recommend this hotel .

Hotel was great, worst parking

The hotel was great, but after leaving I could not leave the parking, because they would not accept maestro or v-pay. The parking was also way too expensive, I later found out street parking would have been much cheaper/free on Sunday.

We spent one night in your hotel as a quick getaway from Lille. My husband came to see cycling and I love Luxembourg for the shopping and beauty of the city. The hotel is well situated, clean, convenient and the staff are excellent. We arrived in the evening at around 21:00, the gentleman who welcomed us was very friendly and professional. I can’t remember his name but I give him a 10/10 for the warm welcome ! We didn’t have breakfast, but did have a drink in the bar. Once again, the staff were great ! I would recommend your hotel and would come again if I return to Luxembourg. I really like the perfume in the lobby. We were in a room with a forest theme, the perfume on our floor was different to the lobby, I’m not sure if each theme has a different fragrance but I appreciated this subtle detail. The underground parking is perfectly situated near the hotel.

This hotel has become my retreat to relax (and sometime work) over the weekend, and I love it. The personnel is always very friendly and welcoming. From the moment I walked in, I received excellent customer service. I was greeted, the woman at reception checked to see if my room was ready early, and then proceeded to tell me about all the room and hotel amenities. I knew exactly what to expect and every request I made was accommodated. She spoke perfect English and was so helpful. I will always return to this hotel.

Located near the Passerelle, the hotel is a very nice place to stay. The rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly and always trying to make sure your needs are being adressed, specially Caroline. Not the cheaper option but definitelly worth it, because, at least for me, everything was smooth.

The staff prepared a surprise for us because we are expecting a baby, our room was decorated en really nice. Staff very friendly and helpfull and the rooms were very clean. The breakfast was very good, fresh and healthy products.

A Brilliant Stay

I booked a last minute trip to see Luxembourg and stayed in this hotel. The hotel is being refurbished (not that I would have noticed) and I was given a lovely large modern room, with a huge Samsung tv, it was clean and the shower was really powerful and had 2 different types of head (usual power shower head and rainfall from ceiling). The bar is super modern and the staff were fantastic, so kind and helpful. This stay was just perfect.

Very nice, large and clean room - Hotel well located for business meetings and close to the centre of the city, easily reachable. The breakfast was rather expensive for a standard buffet though. I would definitely consider it again for a future business stay in Luwembourg.

The hotel was ok but our reservation conditions changed during check-in. We agreed changes after discussion with receptionist. Morning everything was different including costs. I have never experienced being so ignored as a customer.

However, we do wish to clarify a few aspects regarding this matter. The original booking was for two adults and two children, however we did receive a message from you advising us that there would instead be two adults and three children. As the maximum capacity of our rooms is two children and two adults, it was necessary to book another room. In such cases, we propose our family offer, which provides the 2nd room for 50% off the daily rate of the first, as well as the option of two connecting rooms. We also offered this discount upon your arrival, as well, which was accepted. We are sorry to hear that this was not to your satisfaction, after all. As a small family of 3, space has always been a challenge with most of the hotel rooms we end up with after booking. This was not a challenge at Novotel Luxembourgh as the room was quite spacious with seperate bathing area from the toilet as well. It had a small fridge which was quite handy and we could make tea. The hotel ambience was very nice and the staffers were quite warm. The location was also great for us as it was a walking distance to the train station as we journeyed on to Amsterdam

Room Temperature

I like this hotel with the exception of one, important to me, issue - you cannot lower the temperature in the room below 22 degrees C. The only reason I was moderately comfortable at night was because I could open the window. Being a frequent traveler to Luxembourg, I am very hesitant about staying in the Novotel during the summer. If the engineering staff can override the thermostat, then I'll stay there again. If they cannot, then I will stay somewhere else. The only reason I gave this hotel less than perfect marks is because of the room temperature issue.
