Parking is way overpriced (20 euros per day) but the rest was ok, we stayed only one night. The hotel is quit busy. More business oriented than leisure. Convenient location close to a shopping mall and Hypermarket.

The staff were very helpful in every way. The standard of the room was high and was very comfortable. It allow us to sit in comfort and we did not feel that it was necessary to go elsewhere to relax between excursions. The room and bathroom was clean and had additional things that we used and appreciated such as a coffee pod machine.

« bad Service, noisy room »

I had to change room in the middle of the night. My room was beside the lift which was used by guests non-stop. The room is obviously not noise insulated (room 806). It felt like sleeping near the airport with incoming planes overhead. Lucky enough there was a fee room. Why do you place guests in such a room while there are quiet rooms available? Also, only a few TV channels worked in room 806. Second the lady at the reception was not able to print a correct invoice. I gave her the correct company address and the first print showed another address. Next version showed the address but the company name was not correct. Then she told me that she will have it ready after my breakfast. She didn´t. I had to leave and she took my email address and promised to send it to me by email. I told her that this is important- otherwise I won`t be able to claim the cost back from my company. Two days later- no email. This is eytremely bad!!! You should train your staff. They were all not welcoming. I had the feeling the lady had no clue. I also think- for a business hotel- to start breakfast at 7 is too late. Our bus left at 7:30 sharp from another hotel and I couldn´t have a relaxed breakfast. Taking all this together, I can only give 2 stars.

Novotel Barcelona City has a great location in front of CC Glòries Mall, 2 blocks from Glòries subway and the neighborhood is very nice! Rooms are confortable, with basic amenities and offer a beautiful view of the city! Novotel staff was extremely kind and careful! I surely recommend this Novotel as a great stay experience in Barcelona!

The bathroom door needed work to be carried out and when you open and close the door it’s a nightmare specially in the middle of the night will the children are sleeping, I had to put up with this for 5 days and I reported it to the receptionist, the only response I recieved from the receptionist we are sorry for the inconvenience caused and will get someone to repair the door. No refund or discount provided during my stay and I was charged for my breakfast for the night, I always use you hotels while abroad, never again I am very disappointed

Everytime I stay at this hotel, I find the same quality level which is perfect in almost everything, the friendly staff the convenience of the room and the good breakfast. Special thanks to Gabriel at the reception for his kindness. Will definitely stay again.

+ Location is very good, next to a Mall and tram/underground station + Staff was very helpful + Very good breakfast + nice playing area for kids o Rooms were nice and quiet but a bit small for more then 2 people - Waiting time for breakfast - Taste of coffee was not was I expected - quality and taste of the food (dinner) was not as good as the breakfast experiences - New Years Eve event was boring and the food was not good for the price

« Geeat stay in Barcelona »

We have a great 4 night stay in Novotel Barcelona City ... Though Room size is not that big, we can still have a comfortable stay ... breakfast is good, location is great with Glories Mall (& carrefour) opposite the hotel hence very easy to find food. Public transport is easy to access with tram amnd bus stop in foront of the hotel, and subway is also very adjacent. We recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona.

« Extremely rude staff, worst Accor hotel ever stayed »

Extremely rude staff Yasmina was talking to her colleague whole time we were checking in (completely ignoring customer) She didn’t honor my gold status until I showed her my card. We were putted in the crappiest room where I had to wake up whenever lift was in use. When mentioned to morning staff Gabriel, he rectified everything for us. However when came to front desk to pick up my new room key, Yasmina was again rude to us again and i felt deeply humiliated. She really shouldn’t be in customer service. Morning time, it was impossible to take lift as everyone is trying to go down. Check out queue was crazy. Was not happy with this hotel and will never go back or recommended to someone else.

Due to crowds paid for breakfast but could not attend three out of four days. Lifts were always super packed- alternative arrangement during busy times should be considered as it impacts the overall experience.

Arrived at 12 H . room not ready . No difference even being platinum. Email sent to ask for the room at 12. Horrible smell in the street and same in the room , in the bathroom . also size of the TV screen small for an executive room

« Nice hotel but..... »

Novotel Barcelona is located in the vibrant Glories district of Barcelona. it has a nice market street close by and a perfect connection to tram and Metro stations in walking distances. many dining options can be found in the vicinity of this hotel. Breakfast is sumptuous but very small restaurant and can have considerable waiting times for a table during 0845-0945 hrs, to avoid queue one should wake up early as waiting period can last from 15-20 minutes. Elevators in this hotel are not easy to use. At times many guests including us found it hard to use due to swipe card issues. also there are constant elevators breakdowns which mean you can wait 15-25 minutes for an elevator as two elevators for a large hotel like this is grossly insufficient. Swimming pools is very small and not sufficient for the size of this hotel. Moreover they are not accessible during November to March as there is no heating in their outdoor pool. Front desk is very slow and unprofessional with long waiting times for access ! Its a good hotel but has small operational issues which can ruin your otherwise good experience here. will recommend only if the price is low else not worth it.

« Over charged breakfast as a habbit »

Breakfast over charged as habbit. First time, the reception lady asked me to sign an empty receipt and wrote 2+2 at the end while 1 adult and 2 kids had the breakfast. Next time, the same lady wrote 2+2 on it and ask me to sign while I have said 1+2 for breakfast. It was very tricky and a very bad experience to have this happened so frequently as a normal practice in a world wide hotel group. (-5) Afterwards, I dealt with the bill the night before we checked out. The reception agreed to cancelled the over charged amount. Unfortunately, when we checked out next day early in the morning. The reception still charging me the original amount. I had to explain everything again to get the correct charge.(-1) Bath tub water protector glass door was not well fitted, water leaks serious on the floor. (-2)
