My only issue with my stay was the lift was out of service on my second night. It was also out of order when I had to check out, which would have been a big issue with my luggage if an employee hadn't turned up just at the right moment and took me down the staff elevator. He was very kind and I appreciated his help so much.

I was there to conduct Drug and Alcohol testing for potential employees of an organisation. The first room offered had the toilet system flushing all the time so unsuitable for the screening task I had. I was then offered a second room which was ok. The staff were always polite and courteous at all times. The lift door 'banged' and was a bit alarming. Otherwise the stay was fine

We opted for a superior room so we could have an external window, it faced a multi level cark park abs a very busy side street. The noise until 4am was unbearable. Car alarm constantly going off , people yelling and fighting. Horrible experience no sleep was had. Paid extra for the most pitiful breakfast- if you had the menu listed there was no way I would’ve opted for it.

I am deeply sorry about the disturbance you had during your stay due to the car park next door and a cars alarm going off. If we had of known about the disturbance we would have moved you away from it. The hotel has undergone a name change and re-branding as of the 10th February. We have permanently closed our restaurant down indefinitely; this was not a decision made lightly. We are now only offering an express continental breakfast every morning that continues to serve pastries, cereal, fruit, juice, tea and coffee. I am very sorry this isn't the breakfast you were hoping for, I will share your feedback with our management team. I would like to thank you for bringing to our attention these areas of concerns; appropriate measures will be taken. We paid extra for breakfast and what we were given was uneatable. Even the coffee was from a machine you get in a pokies room. You really expect people to eat sweating muffins in bags, long life milk at room temperature and stale croissants. It was absolutely disgusting I had to spend more money ordering breakfast in before we could leave from a local Cafe. Don't offer food like that, such a low standard.

We are now only offering an express continental breakfast every morning that continues to serve pastries, cereal, fruit, juice, tea and coffee. Tired hotel - really disappointed with the breakfast

Dear Ross, Thank you for being an ALL Loyalty member! I appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Grosvenor Hotel Adelaide. We have a strange layout here at our hotel, being that we were built 101 years ago we have a different structure compared to modern day hotels. I am sorry the room did not meet expectations; however, I can assure you the other room categories are different and not all the same. The hotel has undergone a name change and re-branding as of the 10th February. We have permanently closed our restaurant down indefinitely; this was not a decision made lightly. I am pleased to say we are currently in the middle of making changes to our breakfast, we expect this to be completed by the end of the month. Our room was wonderful but accessing the only working lift at 930am was a nightmare. Overall a great place to stay.

With covid we could not eat at hotel. I thought our 5th floor room a bit strange with windows up very high and unable to see out, never had that t before. Room was a good size, quiet and clean. Staff were very helpful.

Overall anfd largely based on price paid we were very happy with our stay at the Grosvenor. We we were given an upgrade to a very large room with a balcony overlooking Nth Terrace. The bed was comfortable enough, the bathroom clean and adequate, have to watch the step up to the entrance though. The hotel is though showing its age and the last refurb must have been years ago but if youw nat value for money in a top location 80 metres to the tram stop, train station across the road, short stroll to teh Mall or football this might be the place for you. My main gripe was that the TV was so old and small that it was almost unwatchable with old eyes in such a big room. If the price was write i'd return.

The staff in reception were pleasant and helpful and allocated a suite overlooking North terrace, the room was large with updated ensuite, however the shower over the bath was, with screen was unsafe as there was no grab rail and the bottom of the bath was very slippery. The bed was fitted with perfectly white sheets but the mattress was extremely hard and not at all comfortable. The air-conditioning was not working and the fan was so loud we could not sleep with it on. We know that the hotel is old and was renowned for its excellence, however the carpets in the hallways were not clean and there was rubbish on the floor around the lift that had not been cleaned up. On the morning we booked out we were in the lift when a very disheveled looking man entered, we were concerned that the person was on the premises without authority and worried about security. The icing on the cake was breakfast, ordered the evening before, came in a paper bag and not in fact what we ordered no plate to eat off and a plastic knife wooden spoon and stirring stick for coffee in a paper cup, the juice was in a packet with a straw. We did not expect four star accommodation but were disappointed overall with the experience we have stayed in many hotels in Australia and overseas but have never been served breakfast in a paper bag, unbelievable.

We would like to thank you for identifying an under-performance in our cleaning standards. We are currently working closely with the housekeeping management & team to improve the standards throughout the hotel. I would like to reassure you no one can enter the hotel lifts and go up to levels without a key card and unless they are an inhouse guest, I apologise if this was not the impression you were given by other guests. I am pleased to say we are currently in the middle of making changes to our breakfast, we expect this to be completed by the end of the month. I assure you, we will remain vigilant in this regard and ensure this short-coming is never repeated. Staff we're amazing and went above and beyond with there service. Eg. I had a staff member come to my room late at night to assist with my issue with the temperature in the room. The building has shared central Heating/cooling system and you can't have control of temperature in room. It was extremely hot in the room. The staff member help open the window to let outside cool air.

Lack of information on check in led to confusion getting into the overflow car park and even after ordering breakfast we were not told we had to fill out a pre-order form. Overall our room was clean and ok but shower screen did not open and close properly.

Located right in the city, it's near everything. The room was basic but comfortable for a short stay. Front desk service was fantastic. I was welcomed and the lady was professional and friendly. The elevator is a bit dodgy. One of the elevators were out of service, the only one working slammed the door every time.

front room upgrade was very welcome. Hassan always welcoming and nice to be greeted as a return guest. Perfect location and good to see a 100 plus years old hotel still being appreciated. Not as modern as the newer hotels but still has lots to offere

Staff very polite and courteous and being a platinum member the double upgrade was most appreciated as we stayed for 17 days. Double rook was very good and enabled me to work in one with peace and quiet.

Many good things about this hotel, but unfortunately beds were not one of them. Bathroom was brand new and renovated, budget rooms were large. 2x beds. One was memory foam and the other a very squeaky squishy bed. Staff were super friendly and professional, located on Nth Terrace opposite the train station was handy. Price great when using the great state voucher!

Disappointed there isis no longer a kitchen at the hotel

We arrived late, we weren't given the heads up that kitchen staff had been made redundant and there was no restaurant any longer. So we had to head out for dinner instead of settling in for the night. Extremely disappointed they've closed the kitchen. Meals always great and very inconvenient at times not being able to eat in after a long day.
