« A pleasant short stay »

The room was very good except for a couple of items. We found the pillows quite uncomfortable and our kettle was not working - it was unable to be fixed. The breakfast was really nice and a good selection of items. We had a round of drinks in the lounge before we went to bed and found it quite an expensive experience. It was a good that we had gone out to a pub for our pre-dinner drinks. Overall, happy with the stay and we would do so again.

When arriving I was given room 229, unfortunately it was already occupied, the staff on the desk were very apologetic as they had a new computer system, they very kindly give us a complimentary drink voucher. They did their best about the situation.

« Fairly tired hotel with poor customer service »

One of the bedside lights did not work and it was not fixed although reported. The advance invoice did not include the Reward Points used for the booking and we had to discuss this with reception. The scrambled egg for breakfast was very poor and was swimming in liquid.

« The room was too cold »

Overall the stay was ok. The breakfast was great and delicious, the room clean and spacious. The main issue I had was the AC. It didn't work properly and the room was really cold. I had it set on 30°C all the time and it was still really cold. Hope this will get fix in the future because I know other guests had this issue too.

« Overall experiance was really good just a few small things that I was unhappy with. »

I found the overall stay with you very good but... the heating in room 118 didn't work and found myself awake a lot of the night due to this and I had the thermostat up to 30!

I checked in online so my key was ready when I arrived. The room was well appointed and clean. The bed was comfortable. Perfectly located for the Centre of Bristol and very near Temple Meads trainstation.

Thoroughly pleasant experience as always - Olivia, who checked me in, put me in room designed by her and what a well designed and relaxing room it was - Olivia has a talent in this area and want to put on record how impressed I was. Had a drink in bar and server was pleasant and atmosphere was fine.

Relaxed and friendly atmosphere within hotel. Good food choices for snacks and evening dining. I didn’t take breakfast at hotel Found the bar area quite cold to sit and relax in Bedroom very clean and well equipped, non decaffeinated coffee wasnt replenished in room, had to ask at reception for some Hotel was perfectly placed for my planned activities and will definitely recommend to others and I’ll stay again

« Great hotel, Great staff, room desperately needs a refresh! »

We have been coming to this hotel for almost 10 years now, it has become our regular in Bristol. We particularly appreciate the staff who is always very warm and welcoming. The hotel is extremely well located and the general atmosphere is very positive. On our last few stays though we have always been assigned the same 2 rooms 230-231 (they must be the only interconnected rooms in the hotel) and they are really starting to show their age. On this occasion, in room 231 the minibar was not plugged in and the creamers in it smelled really bad. We managed to turn it back on, and throw out the contents, but it wasn't pleasant. In room 230, the soaps in the bathroom had all already been opened, so we ended up sharing the ones in 231 for the first night. The rooms were both a little cold and the air-con control in room 231 made an alarming sizzling sound if turned on. I feel bad even mentioning this because it remains one of our favourite places to stay in the UK (along with he Pullman in London), but i really know how much better the experience in Novotel can be. We have already another stay booked in this hotel next week for 2 night (29/11-01/12), and i really hope this time the rooms will be better.

« Lovely friendly comfortable stay »

From arrival very friendly receptionist and clean. Check in easy and quick. Nothing appeared to much trouble. Fun table game for my daughter and wife to play whilst waiting. Room clean warm and quiet. Everything we needed for our 2 night stay. We never tried the breakfast only because I refuse to pay 18.95 for a full English when I can buy it locally for 6.00. But given the cleanliness of the hotel I should imagine they serve great food. I'm just tight when it comes to money. Great value for money stay, will definately return.

The house keeping team knocked my door at 9pm and said I called for house keeping service, which is not true. And they knocked on my door at 9:30am to clean the room. I can understand if there was some mistakes, but this happened twice and it became really annoying.
