No good working internet for me and my neighbours. Reception could not help. The only say its works. (often a problem pop ups not coming up) 4 times we asked for breakfast. 3 times we did not get what we did ask and at the wrong time. Because during covid we need to eat in the hotel we ordered at the restaurant. How is it possible in France quality like this. Always cold (of course if you serve steak on a cold stone cutting board) Price - quality is bad

At Novotel, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence. We have internet fiber, and it really improved the connection. Unfortunately, like it happens at home, sometimes, there is an issue and we have to contact the maintenance and it may take 48 hours for them to fix the issue. The reception can't fix internet. They called the company immediately and then we depend on their delay for intervention. Regarding breakfast, there was a confusion as both your rooms were booked on the same name, so the order of your colleague was brought to your room and vise-versa. I am very sorry about that. We booked 2 rooms at the Novotel Le Havre Centre Gare after another hotel in the city closed due to CoVid-19. The staff was welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay. When the restaurant had to close due to lockdown restrictions they called and took a breakfast order and time we wanted it delivered. The staff is energetic and willing to help. In these very difficult times the staff made it as enjoyable as possible. While it's not a "5 Star hotel", for location, comfort and service I'll give them 5 Stars!

Bad hotel service

Bad service. Hidden prices (i.e. parking). We made a reservation for two people, but by mistake the reservation was made for one person only. We called immediately the hotel to notify them that the reservation is for two people and asked whether this would change the price. The person who answered said in principle no change in price. When we made the check-in, they made us pay for another breakfast saying that the reservation is for one person only. We don't recommend this hotel at all.

It is indicated on our website as well as our partners' that the hotel doesn't have its own car park but we offer two solutions at €6.00 per night : the outside car park or tickets to acess the underground car park located behind the hotel, the "Parc des Gares". Regarding the breakfast when you add one person to the room, there is always a supplement for an adult (for children under 16 years-old, it is free). Nice rooms, well located, friendly staff, good safety precautions. I only regret that all lights on each balcony remain switch on during hours : it doesn't bring anything (only nice visual looking from outside?) but this is not environmental friendly....

Personel was very friendly but circumstances were difficult. No decent breakfast. No service on the room. Low quality/price rate. But we were glad we could leave on vacation.

Main entrance on street side was neglected, untidy, poor first impression. Cracked mirror in elevator, broken push button for floor selection in elevator, are we in Africa?? Overall maintenance of common spaces below average for a recent hotel. Care about details was missing in this hotel. The COVID mini-breakfast at 12 EUR was a rip off. This should be provided for free as the bag hardly contained anything.

The hotel is located well, and the executive rooms are a good size, clean and well equipped with good WiFi. The breakfast is adequate, although not catering to international tastes - I would prefer warm plates, crispy bacon, less sloppy scrambled eggs, black pepper and some variety in cereals. The dinners are truly bad though, my boss and I ate there twice last week and will not make that mistake again. In the spirit of trying to help you, I think you really need to re-engineer your kitchen and your waiting staff. I have no idea who is cooking the food (beetroot smoked salmon, entrecote, shrimp starter, butternut soup and Pad Thai is what I recall with a shudder). Really truly the worst food in 20+ places I've eaten in Le Havre. The smoked salmon was so salty as to be inedible, served with limp leaves and a half teaspoon of sauce. The entrecote was of very poor quality, a mass of fat and gristle. The shrimp starter smelt so rank I sent it back untouched, the butternut soup was bland and the Pad Thai was a mass of stodgy noodles with a few small shrimp. My boss was equally unhappy and like I said we will not eat there again. There is no excuse for making such a botch of simple cooking, especially in an international port and in a country famous for its cuisine. The gymnasium is a very big disappointment. It is poorly equipped, has no entertainment systems, is not planned or thought through by anyone with an understanding of exercise, and is not open at reasonable hours. The jacuzzi was broken and the steam room not working, and the only equipment is three cheap machines even though there is a large space and adding in some mats, weights and other inexpensive kit would be very easy. For travelling businessmen a well equipped gym is very important, especially when trying to work off jet lag. And the gym has to be accessible 24/7 not just when staff feel like it. My last comment is about the staff. They are young and attractive, but I think you would be better off getting in some more mature people who have stayed in hotels and who understand what makes for a good experience. People whose eyes rove around looking for customers to help; people who are continually thinking of improvements and who are seeking feedback. My observation (as a crusty old man) is that the young are too self absorbed, too focused on cosmetic adornments, not service oriented, not proactive and not particularly engaged. It's a shame to have such a great location and to spend lots on various cosmetic improvements while neglecting the basic fundamentals of guest experience. The only advantage you have really is that you're better than the Nomad and the other cheap hotels around the station, but that should not make you proud.

I feel sorry that you didn’t enjoy the food in our resturant, know that your point of view is very important to us and we really want to improve day after day. I am a bit surprised that you did not like the pad thai and the shrimps with Jack Daniel’s sauce cause they are two of our bestsellers and they are usually very appreciated by our customers since they are fresh and homemade. However thank you for sharing your opinion and for letting us know that we need to keep improving some of our recipes. I wish to see you back in our restaurant to soon prove you that we can be so much better. We are currently experiencing a breakdown in our Wellness Area. Breakdowns are beyond our control. We had to order a spare part which had to be individually manufactured - as soon as we will receive it early March we will be able to install it and put our facilities back in order. We once again apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your suggestions on how we could improve the gym and make it more accessible to international travelers. Please be assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problems and prevent future occurrence. Renovation noise and dust

We were not aware of the renovation that is going on at level 6. There is no mention about this renovation upon making reservation. Due to Health reason (dust), we had to move to another hotel and check out earlier from the original reservation. The hotel staff was not considerate and mentioned that we had non refundable reservation so the last night cannot be refunded. This is really dissatisfying
