I can't give more stars to the hotel because the building and its facilities are in real need of "tender loving care". The staff, most of them females, are professional, attentive and good humoured. The lady in charge of looking after the facilities in the rooms was particularly helpful and kind. Our thanks to all the staff.

I complained of non cleaning of rooms and it was changed as there were cigarettes everywhere but even change of rooms the issues were remains in the other rooms too. Further, I reported the very strong weed smell day and nights as it was non smoking but no one bothered. Very disappointed and will not stay with you again, specifically with family this place is terrible. No one resolved the issues at all.

The budget hotel was great. Beds were comfy, shower great, staff helpful in providing an extra pillow and a coffee and for a flying visit it was very good value for money. The breakfast experience wasn't brilliant but I'm not sure whether that was covid effected. Bearing that in mind it was sufficient. I'd book again.

Well located, cheap, very friendly staff. Heater didn't work in my room and I was offered straightaway to get a new room or a heater fan. Very helpful staff including the security guard.

Very helpful staff. Door card a little temperamental. You had to slide it through the reader at just the right speed for it to work. Room very clean, basic but excellent value for money. Comfy bed. We overlooked the hotel car park and could hear voices (window closed) from there occasionally (midnight to 6am). No car doors slamming so maybe security staff, as all pubs/restaurants closed at 10pm. Inside the hotel the corridors were really quiet. Loved the lighting set up for the room but I think the toilet room light was on the blink as it flickered at a migraine enducing rate. Car park Very expensive £8 for 24hrs, but secure and convenient. Definitely recommend this hotel for short stays (which I'm sure is exactly what it's for).

The Ibis Budget Birmingham Centre is exactly what it offers: central location, easy access, basic but comfortable, very clean and quiet rooms. The outstanding element is the staff: professional, helpful and good humoured. The reason why I don't give extra stars is that, just like in other Ibis Hotels, the rooms are looking tired and showing signs of lack of care, while the heating system is simply inefficient.

My stay at the hotel for 2 nights was of a mixed reaction. The staffs are polite and courteous but not too responsive. Climate control in the room was not radiating heat, so my room was freaking cold on a very cold day! However, this was resolved on the evening of my second day, with a palliative standing heater. I sincerely thank the particular staff that responded swiftly on the second day upon hearing and seeing my state.

It was a good stay we loved Birmingham. It was only marred by hotel staff not quite following the rules, wearing the mask under the nose? Not enforcing the rules. We were being stared at by other guests like we were the odd ones out for wearing masks! Breakfast was disappointing, the budget Ibis Leeds you get a porridge pot and yogurt as well as coffee /tea croissant and fruit. Birmingham you only get the coffee /tea, croissant and fruit! The room did not feel deep cleaned there was a lot of dust under the bed!

Hotel itself was absolutely fine, cheap, clean, perfect for an overnight stay. Staff were great and very friendly. Unfortunately you can hear everything from your room. Other guests drunk, talking, shouting, playing music in the corridor outside their rooms. I think I managed to get my kids off to sleep at about 3am! Wouldnt stay again, I had a further 3 hour drive and didnt feel rested at all.

No tea items in the room. Despite bringing my own tea items, no kettle in the room to boil water. I was told I had to come down to reception every time I needed hot water to make tea. No space in the toilet, so tight. I paid £7 for overnight parking, went out and by the time I returned, all spaces had been taken up. I was asked to go and park on the road outside the hotel. Why will the hotel sell parking spaces beyond the capacity of the parking lot? It was a rip off.

No Parking listed on Accor Live Site!

Although it's a budget hotel it would be nice to have tea and coffee in your room, especially after a night out on the town! Also a really annoying thing is that on the Accor live site which I always book on it doesn't say there's an onsite car park. I was really annoyed at this after paying extortinate prices for a car park ten minutes walk away. The bed was very comfortable, as was the shower. Will not use the Accor live site anymore though after this experience.

Nice quick check in, nice clean room. The only thing that let it down was the smell of the corridor on the 4th floor, it smelt like a dirty hover bag and the fan system in the room didn’t work

We arrived late and were given keys to a room which wasn’t made up or cleaned, bed still slept in.... We were then given a disabled twin room which was clean but clearly not been used recently, a stale smell. So tired we just went to bed and slept ok, left early so didn’t use facilities or have breakfast.
