Room and service were excellent. The softer closing room doors are much appreciated, I hate hearing every single door shutting in the hallway when people come and go. Location was perfect and within walking distance to everything.

Hotel is located right in the city within a short walk to restaurants and shops. However there are no views and hotel does not have its own parking. You can pay for parking at the carpark across the road.

I can see from your comments that you thoroughly enjoyed our fantastic central location, we are situated right in the heart of town with Queenstown on your doorstep. With this being said we do not advertise rooms with views due to our location and we do not have a car park on site however our lovely concierge are more than happy to Valet park at an additional charge. « A bit of luxury in the heart of town »

Only putting this here as no other spot available; Room service - I didn’t eat because the menu is too French, no ability to have a club sandwich, or something simple would have had to wait for late night menu after 10.30 pm. If people wanted fancy French food they wouldn’t be eating in their room.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Sofitel. Staff was very attentive and Tom amenities excellent. We purchased the breakfast buffet with the room which was excellent in choice and service staff very friendly. Nice boutique size hotel in the center of town within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Staff and general facilities were great. The room on the other hand was a bit of a let down, being a suite it was very crammed with oversized furniture in the lounge, being difficult to walk around. Electrical wall fittings were loose on the wall, holes in the ceiling.

I am however disappointed to read that you did not enjoy your stay in our beautiful Prestige Suite, I would like to make you aware that I have noted your comments regarding the furniture as we will be doing a refurbishment in the upcoming years and I feel that Senior management should be aware of any of our guests queries. I would like to thank you for your feedback regarding this however I am extremely upset to read that the electrical wall fittings were loose and there was a hole in the ceiling. I would like to make you aware that this has been passed onto our maintenance team as this is totally unacceptable and not up to our usual Sofitel standards. « Okay but without the dedication to service of a Sofitel that we have come to expect. »

As an Accor platinum member we have stayed in numerous hotels in the Accor suite over recent years. We were fortunate to receive the free upgrade to a suite which we appreciated. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. We stayed for three nights but only took advantage of the executive club for one of those nights. The club lounge was a small annex off the main bar. The wine selection was poor and was basically the one label. Surprised not to find a local central Otago wine in the selection. The canapés were pre prepared and consisted of two pots on a warmer of crumbed calamari and cheese balls. There was also a cheese platter. This is not the standard I have experienced in other Sofitel executive lounges in Australasia and Asia. The baguette had been prepared earlier and had dried out, the calamari and cheese balls were not hot and stodgy. After the first night we chose to go elsewhere for pre dinner drinks.

I really enjoyed my stay at Sofitel Queenstown - the staff are simply fantastic! I checked in with Lisa, who was most helpful in showing me recommendations and tips. Thanks Lisa! Alee at Concierge is fantastic too, and willing to go the extra mile to help. Thank you for making my trip so memorable and special - we will be back!
