Bad AC, faulty wifi, poor management

After repeated complaints to the responsible people at the reception, they did nothing to fix the AC in my room (it was only working as fan, no AC) and a faulty wifi connection. Poor management. I will never stay in this property again.

Very slow service at reception, even though I have already done the Check In online. I found the rooms very small, the pillows were old and in need of replacement.

This hotel has incompetent staff, I was charged for the stay during checkin and then, on the checkout, they couldn’t find the payment, started to request me a receipt that I never received, I asked for the zero balance and the person didn’t know what I was talking about, the supervisor came and said the person was new and started on the day before, which means NO TRAINING! The hotel is old, no maintenance, 30 minutes prior to the breakfast end, no more coffee and the staff was not willing to provide it, lack of silverware and napkins in the morning, both are basic things for not being there! Elevators take hell of a time to stop at each floor and always crowded. Inside the room, everything rusty and old! Noisy rooms! Horrible!

I booked a room from distance (Canada) and while doing a search on their website, I found a room facing the airport, with a really nice view. So I booked for that room and yet I added a comment saying I wanted exactly that room. So I got everything booked and good to go. Then, upon arrival we noticed the room was facing a building. So when I requested the room I booked, the answer was there is no room with that view, and probably if there was a view like that before, now it's gone due a building the built at there. Well, I'll neve come back to this crap and I'm making everybody know that they shouldn't too. Very disappointed.

The hotel has a simple room, and it is a bit expensive for what is offered, however very well located for who is going to/ coming from Santos Dumont airport.

5 min pedestrian and very convenient walkway to the airport. This is the best in this hotel. Big rooms but very worn. Lack of plug possibilities for electronic devices.

Great location for the purpose of my trip. The bed had a very short linen for it and couldn't even stay all over the mattress. Also the linen didn't look very clean and I felt an unpleasant itching the whole night. An other problem was the mosquitos. In the morning I found a few mosquitos over the room and I found that the room window didn't completely seal and I believe that's where the mosquitos came at night. Bad experience.

No WiFi in a room :( no hand towel as well! The hotel is nice, but look a bit old especially in first floor. The breakfast is great!

The room was clean, the only problem I had with the door knob, but no big deal, my problem was the people at the front desk, they made me wait because they were either on the phone or the computer or talking to each other. They didn’t acknowledge me immediately when I arrived, they need to be trained better for hospitality, I was standing in front of them for 5 min or more and they wouldn’t bother to say please give me a minute, nothing that is not the way it was rude. Every agent did the same. They were friendly after but not aware of the time they made me wait when there wa no line, the supervisor was next to the agent and DID nothing either.

Actually the Ibis was closed and we were upgraded to Novotel next door. In the first room the air conditioning didn’t function. We were moved to another room so that was good. We used the room service and that was quite bad: pasteis were almost burned, cheese of poor quality and the pina colada tasted synthetic... Anyway, the (second) room was fine, customer service ok (Indidnt feel like complaining about the food in these difficult times) and the breakfast was also good. All hygiene measures were at the appropriate level.

great location to stay if you are flying from santos dumond airport. very convenient. room was clean. shower was good too. staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the area. also hotel walking distance to a metro station
