BY far the cleanest room I have ever been to in a Mercure Hotel and I had the same room the next day. ( it was supposed to be a one night stay but for work reason I had to stay for another night so I rebooked same hotel and they gave me same room ) spotless ... Kudos to the cleaning lady

The stay was pleasant enough and the hotel is pet friendly - we chose it because it allowed dogs and we were travelling with our dog this time. The first room we were allocated was very smelly as someone was clearly smoking in it and the room was not aired properly, but we were moved swiftly without any fuss to a different room. The services, cleanliness etc. were adequate, however when we were checking out I could not find stuff for over 30 minutes, no one was on the reception, the calls were going nowhere and I had to wonder into the kitchen to find someone who then managed to find the reception lady. all very long-winded and strange for a 4* hotel.

Kind staff, professionnal. Clean room even if view on roof is not the best but it s like it is. Breakfast was good and quite wide even if missing food/drinks permanently even if staff did not stop to go and come back. 1 recommandation=Stop the noise of entrance door to your kitchen, it s loud, noisy and annoying. Put stoppers/rubbers/amortizers.

This is a reliable well located Mercure on the edge of Caen. We have used it in successive years from the afternoon ferry from Portsmouth. Decent rooms, relaxed plentiful breakfast, good secure parking, ideal access to the road network for onward travel. Splendid!

As always with Mercure the staff are just great. They are friendly and helpful but the receptionist on duty when I arrived after 10 pm was worth her weight in gold. My room was very good indeed.

Good location for the ferry but have to drive to restaurants and to tourist sights. Probably best for an overnight stay rather than a longer holiday. It is the equivalent of a Premier Inn in the UK. Breakfast was OK.

The hotel is excellent. We were made welcome once we arrived and our room was comfortable,well appointed and quiet.Restaurant facilities were good and we were offered a reasonable choice of wines We had a problem finding the hotel. Having left the periphique at junction four we followed two Mercure signed which took us past the Tram Stop. Then no further signs for about two k. so we turned back. A resident took us to an Ibis Hotel and we were given route to the Mercure which we found -eventually.We still have an old directory of Ibis Hotels which give excellent advice on routes to take. Possibly this Mercure Hotel could provide a clear street map showing the route from a starting point e.g. exit 4 on the periphique..

Hotel Mercure 2 place Boston 14200 Hérouville Saint Clair is the exit n ° 5 on the northern periphery that must be taken. We have directional arrows on the city of Hérouville Saint Clair but unfortunately we are denied on that of Caen. See you soon Jérome

Very comfortable, friendly welcome. Excellent breakfast. The only problem was that we were intially given a room that was already occupied. On going back to reception, this was quickly resolved and we were allocated another room.
