I was "forcefully" transferred from BreakFree to Ibis. It turned out a positice experience despite the fact I do not like to be poushed around as a pawn. Room was nice although it does not make sense to put a single person in a room with 2 large Queen sized beds... could have used the space. Desk personel nice and very helpful. Restaurant was closed but the one at Breakfree and at Novotel, where I ate, were working, therefore I do not understand to logic of having it closed and forcing clients to schlep themselves to the Novotel for breakfast (I would like to commend the work and humour of waiter Mababo {hope I got his name right}; this guy needs a raise!!!). Clean and quiet, what else do I need but local eateries and a small gym/exercise room?

I had a trip to New Zealand booked, travelling from the UK which of course had to be cancelled due to Covid restrictions. I was staying in various independent hotels and air b&b type properties, booked car hire, trips and activities etc. The ONLY company who did not give a refund was IBIS - I do have a credit note to use if I stay in the same hotel but I very much doubt that will be able to happen before the credit not expires. I know I booked a non-refundable room but it says an awful lot when every single other company and individual has refunded me except for IBIS. To top it off, they sent me this survey to review my stay!

Was a good stay however they only have limit parking space so i had to park my car eslewhere cause when i first arrive i was paying $25 for 3 hrs and thats so expensive.

I was actually booked into the breakfree and got moved due to another booking, which was somewhat annoying. However the room was nice and quiet, no road noise despite some roadworks outside, and great blackout blinds. Good location. the windows 'view' of another buildings' wall a few metres away was so so! Room could have done with some better lighting, it would have been too dim to work in.

I did not know that I would need to book parking in advance, which I could easily have done as I booked the room a long way ahead. There were only two teabags in the room, I would like more but am not willing to bother staff to bring them. Michael, on the front desk was excellent on arrival. Very helpful. Please pass this on to him. The tv feed does not include national radio, which is Important to me for real news in the morning.

We were booked at the Breakfree via Booking.com. Unhappy that we had to be moved from Breakfree due to the fact they had a restaurant on site. Ibis has a restaurant but it was closed. We had to go to the Novotel for breakfast. The breakfast waitress could do with a course in providing excellent service. Brought us same items twice, forgot to bring items that we ordered. Heard her accusing a guest of doubling up their order. A hint would be once items are provided to the table to mark them off the order. Bringing food items to the incorrect tables. Another hint would be to have the tables numbered and write the table number on the order to avoid errors. We are ex moteliers and we know you are trying to provide the best service under these trying times.

Reception staff were courteous but not overly personable. Room was small but clean and comfortable.Disappointed there was no mention of the roadworks taking place right outside the hotel. We were woken at 5:30 am by loud drilling which spoiled the experience..
