Accomodation was booked in February before the Covid crisis began in Australia. Unfortunately the Club lounge facilities - the reason we chose the Sofitel - were not available during our stay. Our room classification was upgraded and we were given complimentary parking which was very much appreciated. The hotel was on top of their Covid safe practices and the room was very comfortable.

even though recent events have changed the way we enjoy the Sofitel experience ....All the staff were excellent, service was awesome and felt very safe with the covid procedures in place. all in all a very nice experience.

As a diamond member,even in these times, I would expect some privileges.All that was given was a small bottle of wine.I requested a room upgrade from standard which I was prepared to pay for but this was not available even although the hotel was occupancy was very low.I had a important business meeting which involved drinks and dinner.There were no facilities and the meal was very average with poor table service which was as a result of inadequate staff numbers.

We have stayed at the Sofitel Brisbane on a couple of other occasions. This occasion didn't disappoint. Even in this uncertain time with COVID the service and friendliness of staff was impeccable. The accommodation was up to standard and more. I would always choose this hotel and can't wait until we can go back.

I was overcharged on my account, that was reimbursed then points were incorrectly deducted from my account. Booked dinner and asked for a nice table. Arrived to restaurant with no table set. We were sat at an unset table that they assured us was disinfected but it wasn’t clean. Still sticky from the previous meals and drinks. It was sprayed down in front of us and then cleaned and set. Not the Bris Sofitel standard and not Covid safe. Today I am now chasing up points from the stay. Fully appreciate you are running understaffed but probably won’t be back soon and it’s a hotel I love and always stay at in Bris. So disappointing.

very disappointed in the service in the restaurant at breakfast and dinner. There was definitely a lack of staff available to maintain the high level of service that we have previously been accustomed to whilst staying at Sofitel Central. Further, I left a pillow in the room and have not been contacted by anyone from the hotel about my property. Also I have not called but I thought a courtesy call would have been appropriate

It was good, and always a great standard. The only comment in any sort of bad way was that our welcome drink for 2 was a bottle of Shiraz and as we don’t drink wine we missed the usual option of beer, spirit or coffee, so we didn’t get to use it :( everything else was fine and well managed in these COVID times.

Overall, it is an average experience. This is my first time back at this Sofitel Brisbane after COVID. The reception by hotel is not that good in terms of welcome gift, drinks and no welcome card. The staff manners were great and you can tell that they are trying to do the best with the situation they are put in. However, I as a platinum member and choosing to support Sofitel where there are other Accor options (less expensive and newer) in Brisbane, the experience has been average compared to my recent stay at Sofitel Melbourne. Since COVID lockdown and reopen, I have stayed at Melbourne Sofitel and they made you so welcome with arrival email by the duty manager the night before and a physical welcome card & gift upon arrival. Since there were not many guests at Melbourne Sofitel, the duty manager made sure that front staff knew my last name. Particularly during this challenging times, it is important that Sofitel (a 5 star) hotel maintain their standards, perhaps even go beyond the usual to retain valuable Accor platinum/diamond members who like myself support you during this period. Fair to say, if I were to go back Brisbane the next time, I will have to reconsider my usual option at Sofitel Brisbane.

We arrived at the Sofitel early with the intention of leaving our bag and doing some shopping, we were very pleasantly surprised when told our room was ready and we could go up. Our room was great, a junior suite selected for a special occasion. Could not have been happier, plenty of space to spread out and enjoy. We drank and ate in Covid style spacing and loved every minute.
